As the event's name entails, Spotlight Hour only lasts for a single hour. However, this brief period of time is sufficient to collect enough Candy to evolve Haunter or even Gastly into the top-tier Poison- and Ghost-type Gengar.

Haunter's Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO will occur on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. On this date, Trainers can encounter Haunter at an increased rate from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. Bear in mind that this is the only hour that the Spotlight event will take place. In other words, if players begin playing at 7:05 p.m., it will already be too late to participate in Haunter's Spotlight Hour. Therefore, Trainers should ensure they have nothing important scheduled during the hour, starting from six in the evening.

A total of 100 Gastly Candy is needed to evolve Haunter into Gengar. Such a task might sound monumental to some Trainers, but such an endeavor is more than doable, thanks to Berries. Pinap Berries are the pineapple-shaped consumables that players start receiving once their Trainer reaches Level 18, after which PokéStops and Gyms Photo Discs will drop this item.
