The Hisuian Growlithe from Pokémon Legends: Arceus has been given the LEGO treatment. A fan created a render of what the Pokémon might look like if built using LEGOs. The upcoming Pokémon installment will be an open world adventure throughout feudal Sinnoh, known as Hisui.

The latest Pokémon Presents livestream revealed new information about Pokémon Legends: Arceus - and among the features shown off, the event included the introduction of new regional variant Pokémon. The Hisuian Growlithe is one of these new forms: a regionalized version of the preexisting Growlithe that is a dual fire- and rock-type. The variant's eye-covering fluffy coat and sharp horn sets it apart from other Pokémon games' Growlithes, and its horn can apparently break stones. The Hisuian Growlithe will be joined by other regional variants, such as the flying- and psychic-type Braviary and the normal- and psychic-type Wyrdeer (a Hisuian version of Stantler).

Reddit user eyemcantoeknees posted a render of what they believe Hisuian Growlithe would look like as a LEGO creation. While the coloring is a bit darker than the actual Pokémon's appearance, the LEGO rendition is meticulously detailed and recognizably the Hisuian Growlithe. Everything from the fluffy bangs to the horn to the bushy tail is accounted for. Even the claws on its paws are included. The tail also appears to have a hinge that allows for movement. Since the image is a render, this LEGO creation cannot be assembled in real life, just like this piece of Fortnite LEGO fan art. Feedback on the render has been positive, even though eyemcantoeknees said the project is still a work in progress.

Unfortunately, as appealing as the model is, it's unlikely to ever be an official LEGO set. LEGO has shot down the idea of a LEGO-Pokémon collaboration in the past because Pokémon building kits are currently licensed to Mattel's Mega Brands, a rival to LEGO. That's not much of a deterrent for fans, though. Plenty of creative individuals have combined the two franchises. Earlier this year, another fan built LEGO versions of the Sinnoh starters. With the right pieces and ample time, LEGOs can be used to build virtually anything, even Pokémon-related creations.

The render joins other examples of heightening interest in the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Arceus, like the recent video footage of an Ursaring knocking out the player character going viral. With more information to be released in the future, there's plenty of potential for more Hisuian fan art. A Pokémon LEGO set might not get the official stamp of approval anytime soon, but approval from fellow fans can be just as satisfying.
