There are 20 different Pokémon in Pokémon Unite, with various builds that can be used to maximize each Pokémon’s efficiency. Once players complete the first tutorial, they will get to select one of five starter Pokémon as their first main character. To acquire any other Pokémon, players must spend Aeos Coins on the Pokémon’s license or acquire them through events, challenges, and leveling up. Charizard, Snorlax, Eldegloss, Talonflame, and Pokémon's universally recognized mascot, Pikachu, are phenomenal starters. However, players will probably want to get more Aeos Coins to get a new Pokémon soon after their starter. Here’s how to get more Aeos Coins in Pokémon Unite (& what they’re for).

What Aeos Coins Are & How to Get More of Them in Pokémon Unite

Aeos Coins are one of five currencies available in Pokémon Unite. Players can unlock new playable Pokémon for their roster by spending the required amount of Aeos Coins on the Pokémon’s license. Pokémon licenses cost either 6000, 8000, or 10000 Aeos Coins, depending on the Pokémon, so it takes a bit of a grind to acquire enough coins. Players can also buy Held Items with Aeos Coins, which can make or break a battle.

Aeos Coins are acquired through several different means. Unlike Aeos Gems, which can be purchased with real money, Aeos Coins are gained through playing the game. The main method of gaining Aeos Coins is by completing battles, although this will only net players about 30-50 Aeos Coins per match. Players are limited to 2100 Aeos Coins per week earned through battles. There are also secondary methods of getting Aeos Coins that do not contribute to the 2100-coin weekly limit. Players can complete tutorials, missions, daily challenges, and events to get more Aeos Coins. Players also get Aeos Coins for hitting 90 Fair Play Points and by reaching certain trainer levels. There is also a daily login bonus that awards Aeos Coins, so make sure to log in to Pokémon Unite every day!

Although players can simply play the game to earn Aeos Coins, this is not the most efficient way of stacking up coins. The most efficient ways to farm coins are completing daily challenges, events, and tutorials. If players manage their daily challenges and complete them regularly, they can earn up to around 1700 Aeos Coins per day. Focusing on the secondary means of farming combined with completing battles and reaching new Trainer levels will fatten players’ Aeos Coin wallets in no time.
