Many fans of the franchise wish they could be transported into the Pokémon world to train their very own Pikachu, Charizard, or Eeveelution, and they can guess which trainer they most resemble by consulting their zodiac charts and seeing whose personality aligns with their own.

Aries: Ash Ketchum

Ash Ketchum is the unstoppable ram of the zodiac. With energetic enthusiasm and a bright competitive spirit, Ash exudes Aries energy any time he's on screen. A trainer has to be brave to leave their hometown alone at 11 years old to become the greatest Pokémon trainer of all time, and Aries is one of the bravest signs of the zodiac. Pikachu, who also embodies the Pokémon version of the Aries zodiac, is a perfect match for Ash.

Like a true Aries, Ash is always ready to try new things and meet new people, as evidenced by the many friends he makes along his journey. He is one of the most optimistic trainers on the show and is confident that he will become a Pokémon master one day.

Taurus: Cilan

Ash meets Cilan in Pokémon: Black and Pokémon: White. Right away, Cilan exhibits Taurus behavior. He calls himself a Pokémon "connoisseur," a perfect homage to the Taurus love of all things fancy, because he can see whether or not a trainer and their Pokémon are compatible.

Cilan loves learning things and spreading knowledge to other trainers, another Taurus strength. He likes facts and can be skeptical about things for which there's no immediate logical explanation. Lastly, he trains mostly Grass-, Rock-, and Ground-type Pokémon. Ground-type Pokémon especially exhibit Taurus energy.

Gemini: Iris

Iris is a Dragon-type trainer whom Ash mistakes for a Pokémon when he first encounters her in season 14. She is very outgoing, often swinging from vines in a princess-like dress. Her outgoing nature and adaptability to her surroundings is very Gemini. Iris is intelligent as well, which is also a typical Gemini trait.

Iris was able to outsmart a Drilbur that was antagonizing a wild Pokémon and even ended up catching it and evolving it into an Excadrill. She also would do anything for her Axew, which evolved into the strongest Unova region Pokémon, Haxorus. Geminis are known for their thirst for knowledge, and Iris loves to learn everything about Dragon-type Pokémon that she can.

Cancer: Serena

Serena is one of the most caring and intuitive members of Ash's friend group and is always using that Cancer intuition to pick up on others' moods and improve them. She is very protective of her friends and loved ones, thinking of them as her family.

Serena is deeply caring about both people and Pokémon, even going as far as to choose to train her Pokémon for performance instead of racing or fighting. Her loyalty to her Pokémon and friends is unparalleled on the show, highlighting another Cancer strength.

Leo: Dawn

Dawn is a carefree and kind girl who travels with Ash and Brock through the Sinnoh region. Like many Leos, Dawn is self-confident in her abilities but never fails to be a cheerleader for her friends.

Dawn's Leo determination is comparable to that of Ash, but with a different goal: to be a Pokémon Coordinator. Her companion, Piplup, is one of the most underrated starter Pokémon, but Dawn believes her Piplup can be amazing. Like a typical, big-hearted Leo, Dawn would do anything for the people she cares about, often being the one to cheer others up when they're down.

Virgo: Misty

In the original anime series, Misty is the caretaker of the group. Although she may be at odds with Ash sometimes, she shows a lot of patience with him, is a reliable member of the team, and is often the most responsible one. These traits are all very Virgo.

Her unrelenting kindness and love for Pokémon (especially some of the cutest Water-type Pokémon) is another Virgo trait that Misty showcases. She believes, like many Virgos, that hard work truly pays off, and she gives her whole heart to her Pokémon training.

Libra: Brock

Brock is the natural peacekeeper between Ash and Misty, as most Libras are for their friend groups. He's also the voice of reason when it comes to fairness and diplomacy and is very social, introducing himself to all of the new people the group meets on their treks through different towns.

With a bit of Libra flirtation, Brock is also the hopeless romantic of the trio, always thinking that he's met the love of his life. This is also due to Libra idealism, as Brock tends to think the best of people and ideas, including enthusiasm about new ways to improve his Pokémon breeding.

Scorpio: Sabrina

Sabrina, a Psychic-type trainer and gym leader from the episode "Abra and the Psychic Showdown," is one of the most mysterious trainers. Her gym is filled with Scorpio-like shadows and secrets. Sabrina has a tough outer shell but is trusting to those that earn her loyalty, as Ash did when he brought Haunter to make funny faces and lift her mood.

Truly in tune with her Psychic Pokémon and Scorpio personality, Sabrina can see the truth from a mile away. She predicts trainers' next move and intentions, giving her an impressive upper hand with her Abra, which evolves into one of the strongest Psychic-type Pokémon: Mega Alakazam.

Sagittarius: May

May didn't start her journey as a Pokémon trainer because of her enthusiasm for battling. She just wanted to travel to all of the places fans would love to visit in the Pokémon world, which is a truly Sagittarian desire. May has a strong sense of Sag compassion. She is always in tune with the emotions of people and Pokémon alike, and she likes to help them in any way she can.

May is a great team member, as many Sagittarians are, and her curiosity and innovation lead her to care more about Pokémon training and even become an amazing Pokéblock chef.

Capricorn: Gary

Gary speaks to Ash in the Pokémon anime.

Capricorns are the most ambitious sign of the zodiac, and ambition is certainly a trait of Gary's. As a naturally talented Pokémon trainer and opponent, Gary has worked hard to achieve the notoriety that he has. He's also very responsible, most notably being one of the first kids to arrive at Professor Oak's to claim their Pokémon and start their journey.

Gary's respect for hard work and achieving a goal even leads him to form a friendship-like bond and mutual respect with Ash later on in the show, as he believes Ash has truly risen to the occasion and proven himself.

Aquarius: Latoya (Gligirl) and Mr. Parker (Gligarman)

Latoya is introduced when the team comes across Gligarman, a trainer and Pokémon superhero duo. Gligarman, who is Latoya's father, has committed himself to serve justice and protect those who can't fight for themselves, as any true Aquarian does.

During their episode, "the Superhero Secret," Latoya saves her dad and Ash's team from Team Rocket by becoming Gligirl. She and her dad are true Aquarian visionaries, working hard to make the world a better place. They're also very original, as a Pokémon superhero was previously unheard of in the region.

Pisces: Mikey

Mikey was featured in "The Battling Eevee Brothers" and was the only one in his family who didn't want to evolve his Eevee. His empathy and sensitivity to his Eevees wants and needs is very Piscean, and his generous nature led him to even try to hide Eevee so that his brothers wouldn't force it to evolve against his wishes.

As the baby of the zodiac, Pisces nature is evident in this young and innocent character who has an equally young and innocent Eevee, and his natural Piscean creativity allows him to even defeat Team Rocket with an unevolved Eevee, using a special combination of its attacks, and prove himself to his brothers.
