The Pokémon Trading Card Game is getting ready to launch the Silver Tempest expansion in North America, and the TCG set already has a handful of cards that are worth a lot of money. Although Silver Tempest is still days away from release, many fans managed to get the Fall Pokémon Sword and Shield TCG set early and are selling cards from the collection through online auction sites. As a result, players already have a good idea of which Pokémon cards from the Galar set are going to be fetching the most money.

In August, The Pokémon Company confirmed that Silver Tempest would be the final Sword and Shield expansion. The November collection mainly features cards from the Japanese sets VMAX Climax, Incandescent Arcana, and October's Paradigm Trigger. The Gen 8 expansion has a massive setlist of over 246 new cards, including many Secret Rare V, VMAX and VSTAR cards. While not the most expensive item in Silver Tempest, it's still a good chunk of change. Fans of the Pokémon X and Y games will not only be able to pick up the beautiful Rainbow card for a good price, but the graded versions of the collectible have a lot of value potential in the future.

Originally meant to debut in February's Pokémon Brilliant Stars TCG expansion, the Friends In Galar Full Art has become one of 2022's most anticipated cards due to its delayed release. After a year of waiting, players will finally be able to pick up the rare holographic for around $31 ungraded on eBay. The gorgeous Secret Rare has also sold for as high as $45, so its price has been fluctuating. However, once the Silver Tempest expansion becomes available worldwide, it's likely that prices for the Trainer card will start to see a big boost. In Japan, graded versions of the Full Art have even reached as high as $370 in perfect condition. So the sky is literally the limit for Friends In Galar.

One of the first collectible's in the set to bring big bucks is the Pokémon Silver Tempest Rayquaza VMAX card, which features artwork of Gen 3 Trainer Zinnia standing under the Hoenn Legendary. Over on online auction sites, the Secret Rare has been selling for around $50 to $60 ungraded. According to eBay, the Rayquaza VMAX has even sold for as high as $79. Because the Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery card features one of the series most beloved Legendaries, this is another collectible that a lot of growth potential once graded.

Another Secret Rare that fans are going to scramble to collect, is the beautiful Rainbow Lugia VSTAR. The collectible was so anticipated, that pre-orders for the card were selling for $40 back in September. Now that the English version of the Secret Rare is now out in the wild, the Rainbow artwork has been selling on eBay for around $84. Incredibly, the VSTAR has even sold for as high as $110, so there is no telling what it's prices will look in by December. Even though the Silver Tempest Lugia recently made its debut in October's Pokémon Paradigm Trigger TCG set, fans are already willing to shell out big money for this Rainbow VSTAR Pokémon card.

It also features artwork from veteran Pokémon Gold and Silver Johto region era artist Toshinao Aoki, who has been drawing TCG cards since the release of the Neo Revelation expansion in 2001. With that considered, collectors should expect the Alternate Art Unown V to see a massive rise in value once graded copies of the card start popping up in auctions.

However, prices for the card have already begun to cool down in November, with some fetching for around $90. Despite the dip in value, Lugia still reigns supreme as one of the franchises most beloved region mascots, and the rare gold speckled holographic foil on the card will make this a must-have collectible for many Johto fans.

Ever since the Sword and Shield TCG series brought back the Alternate Art card variant, the Secret Rare's have continued to be big sellers on auction sites, and Regidrago is no exception.

The most valuable Pokémon Silver Tempest card is easily the Alternate Art Lugia V, which is already fetching incredible prices on the second-hand market. On eBay, the rare Lugia holographic has been selling for as much as $355, almost double the value of any other collectible on this list. Given the cards already explosive value, fans can expect this Secret Rare to reach as high $600 in perfect graded condition. The Lugia V is on a similar trajectory as the Alternate Art Eevee cards from the Pokemon Evolving Skies TCG expansion, which are now selling for between $800 and $1,000. The Silver Tempest Lugia easily has the potential to become one of the Pokemon Trading Card Game's most valuable Galar era collectibles, due to its stunning artwork.
