The Shiny forms of the new Legendary Pokémon in the Crown Tundra expansnino for Pokémon Sword and Shield have been revealed in a Pokémon Home leak. The Crown Tundra DLC is bringing lots of Legendary Pokémon to the Galar region, as many were never included in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

The Crown Tundra is adding a new Legendary Pokémon called Calyrex, along with two new Regi Pokémon: Regieleki and Regidrago, which are Electric-type and Dragon-type Pokémon, respectively. The Legendary Birds of Kanto are also receiving Galarian forms; Galarian Articuno is a Psychic/Flying-type Pokémon, Galarian Moltres is a Dark/Flying-type Pokémon, and Zapdos is a Fighting/Flying-type Pokémon.

The Crown Tundra DLC will release in just a couple of days, but that hasn't stopped content from the game leaking online. New information about the Crown Tundra has come out by data mining a Pokémon Home update. According toCentroLeaks on Twitter, the Shiny forms of the new Legendary Pokémon (among a few other morsels) can be seen in the mined data.

The Shiny forms of the Galarian Legendary Birds use the same color scheme as their Kanto versions. Galarian Articuno has a purple-and-violet color scheme, Galarian Moltres is black and red, and Galarian Zapdos is a spooky orange and black. However, their Shiny versions will make them blue, orange, and yellow again, just like their initial appearances in Pokémon Red and Blue. The color schemes for the new Regis are currently blurred out, but Regidrago appears to have light blue arms.

It's not a guarantee that players will be able to catch these Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Sword & Shield. There have been instances in the past where Legendary Pokémon are Shiny-Locked, which means that it's impossible to encounter them in the game without cheating. The reason these Shiny forms exist when they're locked is to avoid glitches, in case someone manages to hack a Shiny version of the Pokémon into their game and wants to use it in battle. Pokémon Sword & Shield have had regular events since launch that have had an increased chance of spawning Legendary Pokémon in Max Raid Battles, and it's possible that Shiny forms could appear in them at some point in the future. It's also possible that they could be given away as part of Mystery Gift events in the future. We'll know more about these Legendary Pokémon soon, as the Crown Tundra will be released in a few days.
