There are a lot of Legendary Pokémon for players to catch in Pokémon: Sword & Shield's Crown Tundra DLC and some of them can be difficult to find without a little help. Regigigas is one of the more difficult Legendaries to locate which is similar to the puzzling nature of his first appearance in Pokémon: Diamon & Pearl. It may take a little legwork to find Regigigas, but this guide will teach players how they can encounter the legendary leader of the Regis.

The Regis have a history of being difficult to locate. In Pokémon: Ruby & Saphire, players had to decipher brail and complete oddly specific tasks in certain caves all across the map. In Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl, Regigigas could only be obtained by players who had caught Regice, Registeel, and Regirock in Gen 3 and transferred them to Gen 4. More obscure tasks were required, but the method to obtain Regigigas made him the first Legendary to require a player to own multiple generations of Pokémon games. Luckily, Regigigas in Pokémon: Sword & Shield doesn't require as much work as he did in Gen 4.

How To Find Regigigas In Pokémon: Sword & Shield

First off, Regigigas can only be obtained by players who own the DLC for Pokémon: Sword & Shield, and players will either need to own two copies of the game or have someone to trade with. Regigigas requires players to have possession of all five Regis: Regice, Regigigas, Regirock, Regidrago, and Regieleki. Since players can only obtain either Regidrago or Regieleki per copy of Pokémon: Sword & Shield, they will need to trade with another player to obtain both.

With all five Regis in the player's party, they will need to make their way to the Giant's Bed region of the Crown Tundra. Located in the Giant's Bed is a deactivated Raid Den in the middle of four boulders. Players will know it is the right den because it will be gray and they won't be able to activate it with a Wishing Piece. Players will need to interact with the den with all five Regis in their party for the battle with Regigigas to begin.

This is a rather intense battle as Regigigas appears as a Dynamax Pokémon at level 100, and players will have to face him alone without the help of other trainers. Luckily, Regigigas has a 100% catch rate after he is defeated. In addition to the Regis, players will want to bring a fighting-type Pokémon as Regigias is a normal-type that is vulnerable to fighting moves.
