Supposed redesigns of Diglitt and Spritzee for Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet have been making the rounds on Reddit and 4Chan this week, reigniting excitement for the new game after the trailer dropped back on February 27th. And while there were some great reveals in the trailer, there were also some hidden details that many people might not have noticed.

Some little visual hints have given an indication of some exciting additions players could expect in the new game, including its potential region, new Pokémon designs, and even a hint it could be multiplayer.

It Has A Game Freak Logo In It

Game Freak is the company behind every Pokémon game and, just as the guard heads into the mysteriously lit room, he passes by their logo. While Pokémon isn't their only game, it's the one they are best know for as it has generated so much content over the years.

This little visual of the company and their logo is a nice little moment, but most viewers probably didn't pay that much attention to it because of the thrill of the mystery in the trailer. It's on the screen a short time, but it gives credit to the people that started it all.

More Detail To The Pokémon

One other thing that most fans of the franchise might not have noticed at first is the fact that the Pokémon in this game are more crisply defined compared to previous versions of the same games and will potentially have one of the best Pokémon regions according to Redditors, yet.

This small difference may just be attributed to the increase in the quality of video games in general, but this little detail is exciting because it means that this world will be even more realistic and easy for fans to get immersed into it.

Possible Multiplayer Capabilities Hinted At

Three Switches sit in the room in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer

This game trailer built up a ton of tension about the new game and added several small details to hint at new things in Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet. One of them being that in the room that is show there are several different kinds of Nintendo Switches shown.

While this may just show the device that this game will be playable on, it may also hint at the fact that this game is going to be multiplayer. It's certainly not an entirely clear message, but having multiplayer modes for the game would make it even more fun for fans of Pokémon.

The Light From The Door Is A Mix Of Scarlet & Violet

Every Pokémon game has a color or title associated with it's release and Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet, which has a lot to learn from Pokémon: Sword & Shield, is the same way. The colors shown from the doorway that the guard explores in the trailer are violet and scarlet, which is just a neat little detail.

These new colors represent this game in a cool way and also might hint at some of the other physical elements of this game that are different from previous ones such as the fact that it has all new starters and a world with an interesting new theme.

New Pokémon Get A Brief Moment

New Geo Type Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet trailer

While this trailer was filled with tons of everyone's favorite Pokémon such as Pikachu, Lucario and Psyduck, it also revealed some new little guys that some fans might not have noticed because of how short they were on the screen, but hopefully, some of the new ones should be dual types.

Of course, the trailer revealed the new starters that all look very adorable, but it also showed some other fun Geo-type Pokémon. There are sure to be some more discoveries when fans finally get to play the new game.

It Hints At The New Region Being Based Off Spain & Portugal Landscape

The room that the guard walks into in this trailer is filled with hints and details that show a little something about this new region that Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet will be set in. It's clear that it is full of Iberian and Mediterranean styles and the previews of the landscape further show what influenced this map.

There are not only Spanish and mosaic designs throughout the room, but there are also buckets of gold, bright, fun colors, and a sense of regency that is even further shown by the giant Pokéball castle that the trailer briefly shows.

It Has Grapes and Oranges Hidden Everywhere

Going off the idea that the colors of scarlet and violet have a huge part in this game's design, this is only further demonstrated through the symbolism of the orange and the grapes on the shields and on the table in the room in the trailer.

Not only do these fruits align with the colors of the game, but they also hint at the region as well. If this game is meant to be set in an Iberian kind of setting, these kinds of produce grow abundantly there and fit really well with the themes.

They Show A Small Portion Of The Game's New Map

The room shown in Pokemon Scarlet and violet trailer and the map

In one of the in-game scenes shown in the trailer, a trainer runs into a home and walks past a map of the region on the wall. While not the full map is show, it does reveal a little bit and that only makes fans more excited to see the rest of what this region looks like.

The left side and bottom of the map are shown in two different shots, which most people probably didn't even notice because of the motion of the trainer moving or the other details in the room. However, once fans see it, it will only heighten their anticipation for this game's release.

It's A Callback To The Original Pokémon Legends: Arceus Trailer

Book and pokeballs on a desk in Legends Arceus Pokemon game trailer

The room in this new trailer is very similar to the one depicted at the beginning of the Pokémon Legends: Arceus game trailer, a game that has some of the most intelligent characters. While the Scarlet & Violet trailer room is much more cluttered, they are both filled with mysterious-looking books, Pokéballs and nice warm light.

While it might not be a direct callback, their similarities cannot be coincidental. Having a more realistic setting to introduce players to the new game is really cool and hopefully this aspect of realism continues in future trailers to draw audiences more into the story.

The Town Center Circle Represents Pokémon Types

The town square is featured in several parts of the trailer in hidden ways, including right beside the images of the new starters at the end of the trailer. However, when one looks closer at its design, it's clear that it represents every Pokémon type in it's circle.

This design is not only really aesthetically pleasing, but it also ties together all the different types and recognizes that they are at the center of this game. In a way, it's honoring how much the Pokémon franchise has grown and become over the many years it has continued to cater to their players.
