The Pokémon Company makes a lot of money from merchandise sales, which is helped by the fact that Pokémon are ideal for turning into dolls and plushies. The starter Pokémon of each generation tend to get a lot of attention in this regard, as they're always among the most popular, thanks to how most players will use at least one of them throughout their Pokémon journey, making them attached to the starter that helped them become the Champion. If The Pokémon Company really wants to make money, then they should probably make a Fidough from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet plush as soon as possible, considering how popular that Pokémon has already become in such a short period of time.
