Although it wasn't a full Nintendo Direct, the new footage filled out more slots in the Gen 9 Pokédex by confirming a handful of classic Pokémon that would be returning in the upcoming RPGs, such as Kanto favorite Gastly and its evolution Gengar. The video also gave fans their first look at Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's regional Pokédex as well, as new Pokémon Pawmi, Smoliv, and Lechonk made their series debut for the very first time. Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Leaked Pokémon

Every Pokemon Confirmed For Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Rumors Leaks

Although Pokémon Scarlet And Violet is still a month away from release, major details about the Gen 9 games have already leaked online. The first leak appeared in May after popular Pokémon insider Riddler Khu revealed that Scarlet and Violet would have two Dragon Legendaries that players could ride on as mounts. The rumor would quickly be proven true during the official June trailer update, which unveiled Gen 9 Legendaries Koraidon & Miraidon. This isn't the first time Riddler has released information early, as the account also leaked all Pokémon Legends: Arceus Hisuian Forms months before the game's release.

Following several major leaks in October, fans were able to piece together what insiders claim will be the final Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Pokédex. After Twitter user palkiaorigin created a mockup of the Paldea Region Pokédex, the Riddler Khu leaks account confirmed that it was 99% correct. So below is the complete list of returning Pokémon that fans can expect to find when Scarlet and Violet release in November:

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Regional Forms And Paradox Pokémon Rumors

Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Regional Form Rumors

Regional forms first made their debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon, and every Pokémon title has had them since Gen 7. However, according to leaks, Gen 9 will only have two regional forms in the entire game: Paldean Wooper and Paldean Tauros. In its place, Game Freak is introducing two new regional evolution types that leakers have called "Regional Fakes" and "Convergent Evolutions". The first example of a regional fake was announced in October with the debut trailer of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet evolution Farigiraf. The new Pokémon is literally just Gen 2's Girafarig, except its tail has been switched with its head. The new evolution form is said to be a "meme" like version of classic Pokémon, that transforms them with slight design tweaks.

The second Regional evolution type was finally seen with the reveal of Wiglett in September. Playing off convergent evolutions in nature, the new Pokémon is essentially a Water-type Diglett that shares a similar look and behavior but is its own species. Leakers claim that players will run into a handful of these new monsters which are basically based on other Pokémon. Lastly, the biggest feature of Gen 9 is said to be a new category altogether called Paradox Pokémon. The new mechanic gives players an Ancient and Future version of a select Pokémon. The new Paradox designs are a part of Scarlet & Violet's Exclusive Pokémon list, as players will only be able to get certain characters based on the edition of Gen 9 they choose. Here is a list of every Paradox Pokémon that has leaked so far:

Scarlet Exclusive

  • Donphan (Paradox Pokémon Ancient Forme)
  • Volcarona (Paradox Pokémon Ancient Forme)
  • Jigglypuff (Paradox Pokémon Ancient Forme)
  • Amoonguss (Paradox Pokémon Ancient Forme)
  • Magneton (Paradox Pokémon Ancient Forme)
  • Misdreavus (Paradox Pokémon Ancient Forme)
  • Salamence (Paradox Pokémon Ancient Forme)

Violet Exclusive

  • Donphan (Paradox Pokémon Future Forme)
  • Volcarona (Paradox Pokémon Future Forme)
  • Gallade (Paradox Pokémon Future Forme)
  • Hariyama (Paradox Pokémon Future Forme)
  • Delibird (Paradox Pokémon Future Forme)
  • Hydreigon (Paradox Pokémon Future Forme)
  • Tyranitar (Paradox Pokémon Future Forme)

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will officially release on Friday, November 18th, and will push the franchise forward with the debut of Gen 9. Based on the two trailers released so far, the Nintendo Switch RPGs look to be representing every generation with a diverse choice of Pokémon being chosen. With the region's sprawling open-world map that can be tackled in any order, the RPG could end up having one of the largest regional Pokédex in the series' history.
