The main rival in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Nemona, has quickly become a fan favorite character, and one of her personality traits is causing her to trend on Twitter and earning her comparisons to Dragon Ball Z's Goku. Players have been enjoying the open-world exploration that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduced, along with the games' ninth generation of creatures. While the titles may suffer from performance issues on the six-year-old Nintendo Switch, fans are still enjoying its story and new characters, especially the main Pokémon rival character, Nemona.Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Nemona is trending on Twitter thanks to her intense desire for battle. Some Pokémon rivals can be annoying, and there are players who aren't big fans of Nemona either, but Scarlet and Violet's battle-hungry trainer is still gaining attention from a lot of fans. Users are comparing her obsessive thirst for battling strong opponents to the Dragon Ball series' main character. Twitter user amphajack (via Game Rant) compares both characters' desire for a good fight, even if they lose. Meanwhile, mainmanguy posted a humorous clip of Goku using his instant transmission ability to highlight Nemona's ability to find the player as soon as she detects that they've gone stronger.Related: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Reveals The Series' 1000th Pokémon

Throughout Scarlet and Violet, fans are given many objectives to complete. Besides becoming the best trainer around, the player can also defeat the Titan Pokémon, and put a stop to the rebellious Team Star. Fans who have completed the main story are already looking for the best things to do after beating Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but all the while, Nemona's thirst for a good battle will still cause her to challenge players after she feels they have grown strong enough.

For all their entertaining character moments, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are not running well on Nintendo Switch, prompting some players to request refunds. Muddy textures, inconsistent framerates, and sometimes humorous glitches are dragging down Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's reception from fans and critics. However, despite these all too common performance issues, many players are still having a great time with the new generation.

Updated gameplay and cooperative multiplayer mechanics have helped Scarlet and Violet feel like a proper evolution of the long-running series' formula. Hopefully, Nintendo and Pokémon developer Game Freak will learn from what works and what doesn't to improve the inevitable follow-ups, but Scarlet and Violet's problems prove a Switch 2 is needed soon. It is currently unknown what the next installment in the series will be, but a direct sequel is not entirely out of the question. If Nintendo does create a followup to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, maybe Nemona will be able to continue to challenge players.
