In the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, there are rumored to be a great deal of new monsters, about 105 to be exact. Like with any rumor, the veracity of this should be taken with a grain of salt, but the prospect sounds very exciting. Hopefully, more news will come before Scarlet and Violet's release, but since it's only a few short months away on November 18, it shouldn't be long before just how many new Pokémon will be in the games is revealed if it doesn't.Ever since they were announced, rumors abound surrounding Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, though precious little information has been confirmed. It is known that Pokémon SV will be more different than thought at first, with two different Professors as well as an open world that players will navigate with the help of the box Legendary Pokémon. This open world will also be fully explorable without restrictions like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, instead of being divided into segments that players have to unlock as the story goes like in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Other things haven't been confirmed but seem more likely than most rumors, including new forms of Pokémon called Paradox Pokémon, also known as Regional Fakes.Related: Pokémon Vs Digimon: Which Is The Better Franchise105 new Pokémon isn't the biggest expansion in the series, but it is among the bigger ones, and is made more impressive by the fact that many are rumored to be one or two-stage evolution lines, which should provide more diversity. Some have been revealed, with the latest being Cyclizar, which looks like it could be a pre-evolution of Koraidon and Miraidon, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's rideable Legendaries. Though the rest are still unconfirmed, prominent online leakers such as Centro LEAKS and Riddler_Khu seem to agree on them, and many of their predictions have proven true before. There's even created a chart that has descriptors for each one along with some of their Types.

The Pokémon that either haven't been confirmed for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet so far or have been confirmed but not revealed - such as designs for evolved forms of revealed Pokémon - include:

  • The evolved forms of Sprigatito, the last of which is Grass/Dark-Type and called the "Magician Pokémon."
  • The evolved forms of Fuecoco, the last of which is Fire/Ghost, and has been compared to an egg.
  • The evolved forms of Quaxly, the last of which is Water/Fighting, is the "Dancer Pokémon," and has been compared to a Brazilian Carnival dancer.
  • The evolution of Lechonk, which is said be ugly and has a gender difference.
  • The evolution of Fidough.
  • The evolution of Cetitan (which might be a pre-evolution).
  • The evolution of Paldean Wooper, which is supposed to be a new Pokémon instead of a regional form of Quagsire.
  • A single-stage flamingo-like Fighting/Flying Pokémon.
  • A single-stage Flying-Type parakeet Pokémon.
  • A single-stage earthworm-like Pokémon that is surprisingly Steel-Type instead of Bug-Type, is 2.5 meters long, and is supposed to be a boss in Pokémon SV, equivalent to Legends: Arceus' Alpha Pokémon or Gen 7's Totems.
  • A single-stage crab-like Rock-Type Pokémon that also serves as a boss.
  • A single-stage Dragon/Water-Type Pokémon that is inspired by sushi and looks like a fish, and is likely a boss.

The second stage is similar to Spiritomb, one of the hardest monsters to catch in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, in that it's difficult to obtain, and has been compared to the golden Sudowoodo from the Pokémon anime. The first stage is supposed to be a coin, comes in multiple colors, and is related to towers.

Details about the new Pokémon are trickling in at a regular pace from online leakers, and more information will likely be revealed both officially and unofficially before Scarlet and Violet's release. The ones that have been revealed so far look very nice, and hopefully the rest will be just as good. It's possible that there will be even more new monsters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet than the rumors say, which is a very exciting prospect.
