To the surprise of no one, Eevee and its evolutions are returning to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The cute little fox dog has always had the most direct Evolutions out of any Pokémon, with the total count currently sitting at eight. Like Scarlet and Violet's predecessor, Sword and Shield, the Eevee Evolutions (or Eeveelutions) can all be obtained by either catching and then evolving an Eevee, as is traditional for Pokémon, or caught in the wild at certain locations.
For players going the traditional route of catching and evolving Eevees, they'll need to go to one of the few places in Paldea where they can find and catch Eevee in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. There's a place not too far from Mesagoza. Southern Province (Area Two) is just a short journey to the northwest. Spend enough time exploring that area, and an Eevee should pop up.
How To Catch or Evolve The Eeveelutions
Wild Eeveelutions are rare, so players are recommended to just go for evolving an Eevee. All wild locations in the below chart are sourced from game8.co
Evolve From Eevee |
Catch Locations |
|
---|---|---|
Vaporeon |
Expose to a Water Stone |
Casseroya Lake, North Province (Areas One and Two), river areas of Glaseado Mountain, South Province (Area Six). |
Jolteon |
Expose to a Thunder Stone |
Socarrat Trail, West Province (Area Three). |
Flareon |
Expose to a Fire Stone |
South Province (Area Six), North Province (Area One), Dalizapa Passage, northeastern shore of Casseroya Lake. |
Espeon |
Level up with High Friendship during Day (Raising Pokémon's Friendship stat isn't hard) |
West Province (Area Three), North Province (Area Three). |
Umbreon |
Level up with High Friendship during Night |
South Province (Area Six), Dalizapa Passage, North Province (Area Three). |
Leafeon |
Expose to a Leaf Stone |
Socarrat Trail, West Province (Area Three). |
Glaceon |
Expose to an Ice Stone |
Glaceado Mountain. |
Sylveon |
Level up with High Friendship while knowing a Fairy-type Move |
South Province (Area Six), northeastern West Province (Area Three). |
Something important to note is that if an Eevee knows a Fairy-Type move, then it will not evolve into Espeon or Umbreon on level-up, always going for Sylveon instead. Friendship isn't hard to level up, and can be via picnics or battles. For players who want a Pokémon from one of the evolution stone Eeveelutions, they can be bought from Delibird Presents in cities throughout Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
