Professors Sada and Turo of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are an important part of the storyline, and there is a chance that they may continue this role in any future Scarlet and Violet DLC. Of course, those who have played the games to their conclusion know that this would be a remarkable development. But nevertheless, there are ways for Sada and Turo to return to Paldea.

In the course of exploring Area Zero, the player character and their friends discover a terrible truth. The Professor, Arven’s parent, has passed away, with their AI doppelganger carrying on in their place. Moreover, this AI Professor ultimately steps into the Zero Lab’s time machine so that it can be shut down for good, ending the threat of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Paradox Pokémon at the cost of them being stranded in the distant past or future. This would seemingly remove them from ever reappearing in Paldea. However, Area Zero also hints toward more than one way that Arven could be reunited with Turo or Sada via Scarlet and Violet DLC.

The Original Sada & Turo Could Return In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC

In Research Station No. 4, a journal reveals that one of Arven’s parents left his family shortly after his birth. The implication is that this is the original, human version of Sada and Turo, who do not appear in Violet and Scarlet. This, therefore, leaves the door open for their appearance in these games. Arven’s family is at the core of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s story, and this could now continue into DLC. As Arven has now lost his other parent not just once, but twice over, this could prompt the mother or father who has been absent his entire life to finally make contact.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC Can Bring Back Their Professors

Pokémon Scarlet's Professor Sada.

The arrival of the original Sada in Pokémon Violet, or Turo in Pokémon Scarlet, would doubtlessly provide fertile opportunities for DLC storylines. For example, the Professor could take an interest in the fruits of their former spouse’s research, or come into conflict with Arven over their family history. If they do make such an appearance, then it is also possible that this may connect to the mysterious third Legendary that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Area Zero is believed to hide. They certainly have an investment in Area Zero; other journals found in the Research stations reveal that they originally worked with their spouse to create the time machine.

It is also possible that the AI professors themselves could return. Assuming that the time machine succeeded in transporting them to the past or future, then it could be rebuilt in that time period. The AI Professor would then be able to make the trip back to the present. On the other hand, there are theories that the time machine is not what it seems. It is possible the Legendary hiding in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has the power to bring dreams to life, creating the illusion of time travel. As such, this Legendary might have also both created and erased the AI Professor, but could similarly reform them.

The Professors returning in DLC would be an interesting twist in what is already doubtlessly one of the best stories ever featured in a Pokémon game. The hints scattered in the games already suggest that there are more secrets to be uncovered in Paldea, which could very easily form the basis for DLC. Of course, it must be kept in mind that there has been no official announcement of DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. But if such content is announced, then the return of Sada and Turo could easily be a part of it.
