Seeds of Mastery as a new item introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. While the game has tons of new items, many older ones have been given new purposes as well. For example, a big part of the Pokémon series was trading between players in order to evolve certain Pokémon like Machoke and Kadabra. Now, Pokémon Legends: Arceus has an item that does the evolution automatically. It's an entirely new take on the Pokémon formula and has been a big hit. When exploring the wilds, trainers may come across items known as 'Seeds of Mastery'.

These are new items that allow Pokémon to master one of their moves. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, each move has been given two different variations, Agile Style and Strong Style. Agile will increase the chances of the player Pokémon being able to go another turn at the expense of less damage while Strong will increase the damage of the attack, but the Pokémon will be slower. Both have their usefulness inside of battle and every Pokémon's moves can have an Agile or Strong version. Normally, these moves are learned by leveling up and using the move often in battle.

By using the Seed of Mastery, trainers can go to the Training Grounds and speak with Zisu. She will teach a Pokémon to master a move's Agile or Strong style. In order to learn both, it will cost another Seed of Mastery. Fortunately, there are tons of different ways to get Seeds of Mastery. Mastering moves can be helpful when challenging some of the game's more difficult bosses. Although, they cannot be purchased directly in Jubilife Village. For starters, tons of Pokémon have the chance of dropping Seeds of Mastery after the player captures them or defeats them in battle.

The challenge is ramped up drastically and each battle needs precise move selection in order to claim victory. The battle with Volo and Giratina in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is intense. It's one of the toughest postgames in the Pokémon series yet. Make sure to grab enough Seeds of Mastery for every Pokémon on the team to prepare.
