The tradition of adding new evolutions to previously introduced Pokémon continues in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and one of the Pocket Monsters that received a new evolution is Ursaring. Ursaring has never been a particularly weak choice to use as far as Normal-type Pokémon are concerned, but the elimination of long-time mechanics like Abilities in Pokémon Legends: Arceus hindered Ursaring's utility greatly. With a new, beefy evolution, Ursaring has new potential when it reaches its final form, Ursaluna.

Ursaluna is a Normal- and Ground-type Pokémon, a dual-type combination that has been seen in previous Pokémon games. While it retains immunity to Ghost-type attacks and receives 2x damage against Fighting-type moves, Ursaluna gains all the benefits and weaknesses of a Ground-type Pokémon. With a new item that works similar to the Dawn Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Ursaring can evolve into Ursaluna under certain conditions.

Before players can get an Ursaluna, they'll have to first capture an Ursaring or capture and evolve a Teddiursa. Fortunately, both Pokémon and the new item to further evolve Ursaring are all located in the Crimson Mirelands. Teddiursa and Ursaring can be found in Ursa's Ring area of the Crimson Mirelands, and the Pokédex will list this location as their only habitat area. However, despite what the Pokédex has recorded, Ursaring and Teddiursa can also be found in the area of the map south of the Golden Lowlands title and west of the Gapejaw Bog. The Pokémon found in this area of the map will be much more powerful and on a higher level, including Alpha Ursaring in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

How To Evolve Ursaring In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Alpha Ursaring Hidden Location

Assuming players have acquired an Ursaring, the next step is to play through the Pokémon Legends: Arceus story until players can summon the great Ursaluna with the Celestic Flute. This will give players the ability to ride the great Ursaluna, similar to the way players can ride a Wyrdeer. However, Ursaluna's unique riding ability allows it to use its senses to find items hidden below the ground. Players will need to follow Ursaring's senses until they dig up the new Peat Block item. Unfortunately, finding the Peat Block is completely random, which means players may be stuck searching for a long time. Additionally, Ursaluna may also dig up evolutionary items such as Moon Stones in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, so it's well worth following every picked-up sent.

After finding the Peat Block, players will need to wait until there is a night with a full moon in order to use the item on their Ursaring. The easiest way to do this is by sleeping at a campsite until the following night and checking in on Ursaring in the party to see if the Peat Block can be used. The full moon doesn't need to be out, however, as players will find that as long as it's a night where the full moon rises they can evolve their Ursaring in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
