Space-Time Distortions are a new feature introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. From the very beginning, it's established that the Hisui region is dealing with its own reality-bending issues. After the main character falls out of the sky from a wormhole, Noble Pokémon begin going out in a frenzy, attacking anyone who gets too close. The player will then join Galaxy Team to uncover the truths of Noble Pokémon and discover what's causing this to happen. While exploring the Hisui region, trainers may notice these large purple bubbles appearing on the map.

These are known as Space-Time Distortions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. When a Space-Time Distortion is activated, a small section of the map will be engulfed by a large purple bubble. If players enter this bubble, they'll be able to encounter rare Pokémon for the Pokédex from far away lands. It's a great way to fill up the Pokédex without needing to evolve every Pokémon. Not only that, but shards needing to craft Star Pieces can also be found in these bubbles. Selling Star Pieces is one of the best ways to get money fast in the game.

Space-Time Distortions will only happen once the player has defeated the Noble Pokémon, Kleavor. After unlocking access to the second area, the player will be notified whenever a Space-Time Distortion is happening. It will appear as text on the upper section of the screen and happens at complete random. It's recommended to run around the map, capture Pokémon, and collect resources until the Space-Time Distortion appears. Once it does, trainers will have five minutes to go to their exact location on the map. It will be highlighted with a special mark on the map, making it easier to locate.

After entering the Space-Time Distortion in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the player will need to wait a few minutes before it activates. The player will know when it happens if the screen begins to turn purple. Now, there will be Red, Blue, and Green shards all around this area, and combining these materials with Stardust in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is crucial for making Star Pieces. It's important to prioritize grabbing the shards first before the Pokémon.

Since the Space-Time Distortion is only available for a limited time, the shards will disappear once the bubble vanishes. The best thing to do would be to ride on Wyrdeer to get around faster. It's possible to grab the shards without getting off Wyrdeer, making it easier to collect them all. Once they have all been grabbed, capture any remaining Pokémon that will work towards the Pokédex completion. Completing the Pokédex will also unlock the Shiny Charm and a special encounter with Arceus itself.
