Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ “Back-Alley Mr. Mime” Request requires players to investigate a Mr. Mime that’s causing a disturbance in Jubilife Village. Introduced in Gen 1, Mr. Mime is a Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon that’s known for using its psychic abilities to create invisible walls and objects to use in its pantomime routines. Players will be able to accept this Request from the blackboard in Professor Laventon’s office after completing the “Berry Helpful” Request, calming the Noble Kleavor, and catching a Mr. Mime.

The only place trainers can encounter a Mr. Mime in the wild of Pokémon Legends: Arceus is in the Sandgem Flats area of the Obsidian Fieldlands. However, catching one can be tricky since Mr. Mime will block Poké Balls with its barriers, so it may be easier to catch a Mime Jr. and evolve it once it can learn Mimic at level 25. Once players have obtained a Mr. Mime and accepted the “Back-Alley Mr. Mime” Request in Legends: Arceus, they can speak to an NPC named Andra by the river on the west side of Jubilife Village to learn more about the troublesome Mr. Mime.

Apparently, a Mr. Mime has wandered into the village, and its strange behavior is making some of the villagers nervous, so Andra will ask the player to approach it and find out what it’s up to. However, when trainers try to approach the Mr. Mime, they’ll be blocked by one of its invisible walls. To reach the Mr. Mime, players can go around the houses and enter the alley from the other side to approach the Pokémon from behind. Unlike Pokémon Legends: Arceus’ wild encounters, stealth isn’t necessary since the Mr. Mime won’t turn around, and it won’t put any barriers up to protect its back. However, once players interact with it, the Mr. Mime will run off, so they’ll have to chase it across town to complete the Request.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Mr. Mime Invisible Maze Solutions

Trainers will have to solve Mr. Mime's invisible maze to complete the Request in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

After the Mr. Mime flees, Pokémon Legends: Arceus players can catch up with Andra on the east side of the Galaxy Hall building. This time, Mr. Mime has its back against a cliff, making it impossible to sneak up on it from behind. To reach Mr. Mime, trainers will have to go around the other side of Galaxy Hall and approach it from behind the building, but the Pokémon has set up an invisible labyrinth that players will have to pass through first. The entrance to the labyrinth is right beside the back wall of the Galaxy Hall building near the Spiritomb Wisp, and the maze forms a U-shape, so trainers will have to start by hugging the wall of the building until they hit an invisible barrier. From there, they can turn left and walk until hitting another barrier, then turn around and run back toward the start of the maze. Then, players can hug the cliff and run back toward Mr. Mime until they reach it.

Unfortunately, Mr. Mime’s game of chase isn’t over, and it’ll run off to the south side of the Front Gate near the eastern bridge. Once again, Mr. Mime will protect itself with an invisible labyrinth, but Pokémon Legends: Arceus players can find the entrance to the maze directly to the right of the ladders leaning against the Jubilife Village gate post. Trainers can solve this labyrinth by running straight until they hit a wall, then turning left and following the path directly to Mr. Mime. The Pokémon will try to run again, but Andra will help the player corner it. As a reward, trainers will earn 2 Aux Guards, which can be used to raise a Pokémon’s defensive stats in battle.
