In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you will be able to evolve Sneasel into two different options, which are needed to complete the Pokédex. However, acquiring one of the forms is slightly more complicated than the other and requires you to use a new mechanic introduced in Legends: Arceus. Sneasel can evolve into either Weavile or Sneasler, but both require an item to initiate the evolution. To get one of the evolutions, you will also be required to catch a Hisuian form to complete both evolutionary lines.

You find Sneasel's Hisuian form in a few areas, notably Coronet Highlands and Alabaster Icelands in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It is a bit tricky to find Sneasel in these areas; however, if you require specific locations, you can find the Pokémon in Celestica Trail, Primeval Grotto, Avalugg's Legacy, and Glacier Terrace sub-regions. Once you have caught a Sneasel, you will need a Razor Claw to start its evolution.

Where To Find a Razor Claw for Sneasel

The Razor Claw in Pokémon Legends: Arceus can be obtained by catching or fighting multiple Sneasel until finding one that's holding the item. Otherwise, the Razor Claw can be purchased from the Trading Post in Jubilife Village for 1,400 Merit Points.

You can earn Merit Points through the Lost and Found system. Returning Lost Satchels will award up to 100 Merit Points each, and you will need to visit multiple regions to earn enough points for a Razor Claw.

For a good overview of the Merit Points system, as well as some tips on where to farm Merit Points in Arceus, check out the video above from LordRespawn on YouTube. After finding or purchasing a Razor Claw, you can use it on Sneasel to evolve it into Sneasler.

How to Evolve Sneasel into Weavile

Hisuian Sneasler Battle in Pokémon Legends Arceus

If you are looking to evolve Sneasel into Weavile, you will need to catch an Original Sneasel first. The original Seanseal is only available to catch in Legends: Arceus' Space-Time Distortion, which makes the process a bit more arduous. Space-Time Distortions appear in the open world randomly, and even though you will get notified where Space-Time Distortion is forming, you still need to find it on the map and travel there. However, this is the only way to catch rarer Pokémon, such as the original Sneasel, and evolve them to complete the Pokédex. To know more about Space-Time Distortion and how to spawn them, check out the video from PhillyBeatzU below:

It is not guaranteed that you will find an original Sneasel inside Space-Time Distortion, as many random Pokémon will spawn. So, you will need to explore a few Distortions to spot the desired Sneasel. Once you catch a Sneasel inside the Time Distortion, you can evolve it into Weavile using a Razor Claw.

If you do not have a spare Razor Claw at hand, you can purchase one at the Trading Post.

If you are looking to evolve both forms of Sneasel, keep finding and catching the Hisuian version until you have two Razor Claws. Although catching the Pokémon is the easiest way to find Razor Claws, you can also save Merit Points in Pokémon Legends: Arceus for one or both of the evolution items you will need for Weavile and Sneasler. Sneasel is one of several Pokémon that have multiple evolutions and forms in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
