Mamoswine in Pokémon Legend: Arceus can be a valuable asset to any trainer's team. As it's both an Ice and a Ground-type Pokémon, it is the final form of the Swinub line. Introduced in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl as the next evolution for Piloswine, Mamoswine gave the Pokémon large tusks and a massive stat boost. It evolves from Poloswine after it levels up knowing the move Ancient Power. In older titles, it was such a grind to reach the final evolutionary stages of certain Pokémon, but Pokémon Legends: Arceus makes it much easier.

It's possible for players to encounter an Alpha Mamoswine while on their adventures. Although, trainers will need to wait until they have unlocked Alabaster Icelands. Swinub, Piloswine, and Mamoswine all appear in the wild in this location, making it easy to clear out their entries in the Pokédex. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, simply capturing the Pokémon is not enough to complete their entry. Rather, the player will need to complete a variety of different tasks, use different moves, and have different attack styles. It's much easier to complete Mamoswine's entry because it can be found in the wild.

Alpha Mamoswine will appear in Avalugg's Legacy in Alabaster Icelands at level 68, making it incredibly dangerous to face off against before the post-game. Trainers can handle this in one of two different ways. First, they can battle Alpha Mamoswine and weaken it before capturing it, the second method is by pelting it with tons of items before catching it. Regardless, both are effective and will help trainers capture Alpha Mamoswine. Beforehand, trainers should aim to be at least at star rank 9. The trainer's star rank will determine how difficult it is to capture Alpha Pokémon. The higher the star rank, the higher the chance of a successful capture.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Best Nature For Mamoswine

Trainers looking to battle Alpha Mamoswine should a Pokemon with Steel, Fire, Grass, Water, or Fighting-type moves. Now, make sure to use Agile-style moves when doing damage. These will lower the attack power of the move, making it so it does less damage. It's ideal for weakening Pokémon without accidentally causing them to faint. Aim to get its HP in the red or yellow zone and continue to throw Poké Balls until it's captured.

On the other hand, trainers can craft as many Sticky Globs as possible. Throwing these items at Pokémon will temporarily stun them in place, leaving them wide open for an attack. When Mamoswine is stunned, sneak behind it and throw a Poké Ball at its back. Landing a back shot will show a special animation and increase the success rate of capture. If it breaks out, keep throwing Sticky Globs and repeat the process. Like every other Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the player will need to capture them all to face the true final boss.
