Tangela can be evolved into Tangrowth in Pokémon Legends: Arceus when it levels up and learns a specific move. Tangrowth is one of the stronger Grass-type Pokémon that can be obtained, so catching and evolving a Tangela can help with building a powerful team. In order to find and catch Tangela in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players will need to travel to a subregion in either Crimson Mirelands or Cobalt Coastlands.

The first place that Tangela can appear is in Gapejaw Bog. This subregion is located in the southwestern part of Crimson Mirelands. Alternatively, players can search for Tangela in Crossing Slope, which is located in the western part of Cobalt Coastlands in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Once players spot a Tangela, they can try to approach it cautiously by crouching and sneaking up behind it. Otherwise, players can battle Tangela, drain its health, and then catch it.

Tangrowth also appears in Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Crimson Mirelands in Gapejaw Bog as an Alpha, so players have the option of obtaining it that way. However, Alphas can be difficult to battle and capture. Instead, it may be easier to find and evolve Tangela in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Tangela Evolution in Arceus

When Tangela is caught, players will need to add it to their team by visiting a camp or the Pastures in Jubilife Village. Evolving Tangela in Arceus is all about leveling it up until it learns the move Ancient Power, at which point it can evolve into Tangrowth. In order for Tangela to learn Ancient Power, it needs to reach level 34.

As soon as Ancient Power is learned, Tangela can evolve into Tangrowth, however the option won't become available until players have Ancient Power actually selected as one of Tangela's moves. Players can level up Tangela for evolution in Arceus by using it in battles and having it gather resources around Hisui. There are also items that can be used to level up Tangela quickly.

Rare Candy can be used to level up and evolve Tangela in Pokémon Legends: Arceus faster. However, coming by a lot of these items can be costly or time-consuming. There are a variety of quests that will reward leveling candies, so players should check their available requests and see what rewards they give. Rare Candy in Pokémon Legends: Arceus can be purchased from the Trading Outpost in Jubilife Village for 1,000 Merit Points.

Exp. Candies can also be obtained and given to Tangela to help it level up quicker. Although these items are given as quest rewards, the easiest way to farm for them is defeating Pokémon that drop them. The best way to get a lot of Exp. Candy is to find and defeat Chansey and Blissey in Obsidian Falls. However, players can purchase them as well from Bonn in Jubilife Village. Once players have enough candy or experience in battles to reach level 34, they can evolve Tangela in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
