An eagle-eyed Pokémon Legends: Arceus player spotted what appears to be a reference to Eren Yaeger, the protagonist of Attack on Titan. Although canonically, Attack on Titan and Pokémon do not share a universe, this hidden Easter egg has many players speculating whether people in the Pokémon universe somehow know of AoT.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the next step in the widely-popular Pokémon franchise. By removing the focus from gym leaders and battling, instead shifting the emphasis to crafting and catching Pokémon, Arceus has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics at the new direction for the game. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is also notable for being the first open-world game in the Pokémon series, and it takes place before the events of the original game series. The series is also notable for introducing Hisuian Pokémon, which are variants of the traditional Pokémon found in the Hisui region (an ancient land that would eventually become Sinnoh). But it appears that, even in this ancient land, people might have some knowledge of anime.

A TikTok user who goes by ___sushitrash (via Dexerto), pointed to a young child in the main village of Pokémon Legends: Arceus who appears to use a line that is often attributed to Eren Yaeger in the anime Attack on Titan. This child is seen saying "But I wanna go outside the walls", which appears to be a reference to Eren Yaeger, who often wondered what life was like beyond the Wall before it was eventually breached by Titans. In this case, the villager simply appears to be interested in exploring the world beyond their village, but the sentiment of curiosity towards a dangerous and unknown world for a child is one shared by Eren. To highlight the similarity, ___sushitrash edits in the Attack on Titan sound to end the video.

Of course, this is not the first Easter egg that has been found related to Pokémon Legends: ArceusOne was previously discovered before Arceus was released, in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, a reference to a "Sinnoh Myth" that many speculated was Arceus. However, this Easter egg is unique in that it appears to refer to a separate property.

There's no way to know whether this was an intentional Easter egg or just a sly reference, but it is quite an interesting find nonetheless. With a vast open-world for players to explore in Pokémon Legends: Arceusplayers may be hoping that there are even more such Easter eggs to find. But, for sure, the world is at least full of Pokémon.
