Finding every Unown in Pokémon Legends: Arceus isn't the easiest task, but it can trigger some interesting events - and make catching a Shiny Unown even easier. Besides collecting 107 Wisps for Legends: Arceus' "Eerie Apparitions in the Night" Request, finding every Unown location is probably the most time-intensive side quest in the game. So, what exactly happens once players find every Unown in Pokémon Legends: Arceus?
To start hunting Unown Pokémon, players will need to progress far enough in the Crimson Mirelands that Professor Laventon updates their Pokédex with clues. To access these clues, players will have to bring up their Pokédex in Legends: Arceus and then hit Y. Slots for each Unown form are placed here, and each comes with a clue that hints at where players can find them. Of course, many of these Unown can't be found until the player has unlocked flying thanks to Braviary. However, some Unown can be found much earlier.
Each Unown represents a letter of the alphabet, and many are found where letters should be. Others are found in more creative locations like on a statue's eye or on rocks. Once players have found every Unown location in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they should return to the Solaceon Ruins in the Crimson Mirelands for a nice surprise.
Finding All Unown In Legends: Arcues Increases Shiny Unown Chances
Upon finding all Unown locations in Legends: Arceus and returning to the Solaceon Ruins, players will find that many Unown have spawned there. During the main side quest of finding Unown, those Pokémon are all Shiny locked. However, the Unown that spawn in the Solaceon Ruins can be Shiny. And since there are so many of them, the odds of catching a Shiny Unown are actually fairly high - especially if the player has the Shiny Charm.
Shiny hunting in Legends: Arceus is a lot of fun, and for players trying to get a Shiny Unown, finding every Unown location beforehand is a necessary step. While people who don't Shiny hunt may be disappointed, it's still a cool event that changes up the Crimson Mirelands. Still, because finding one of every Unown will require Sneasler and Braviary, it's likely many players won't finish this side quest until the end - or postgame - of their playthroughs. In the meantime, they can use the clues in the Pokédex to find some Unown locations during the narrative of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
