Now that Pokémon Home is compatible with Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pearl, some players have been experiencing Error Code 9014 in the software application. Pokémon Home has been a wonderful resource for players to use and store their Pokémon in, but up until recently, it has only been compatible with Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu and EeveePokémon GO, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. Now, players can store their Pokémon from the latest entries in the series in Pokémon Home, if they aren't interrupted by Error Code 9014 first.

Although BDSP and Legends: Arceus can connect to Pokémon Home, there are still some limitations to what players can do. For example, the Hisuian forms found in Pokémon Legends: Arceus cannot be transferred to any other game at the moment. This is because forms like Hisuian Typhlosion do not currently exist in any other title, limiting players to storing and transferring Pokémon like Hisuian Typhlosion between Home and Legends: Arceus only. This isn't part of Error Code 9014, but it's important to know that the limitations are currently an intended feature.

While the Pokémon Home update 2.0 was massive and allowed many Pokémon to be transferred to and from the storage service, there are still some Pocket Monsters that cannot be transferred in one way or another. Although the list is small, there are Pokémon Home restrictions for BDSP and Legends: Arceus that don't have anything to do with Error Code 9014, nor are they intentional by design. For example, Pokémon Home cannot transfer Nincada to Pokémon BDSP, and Spinda cannot be transferred from BDSP to Home. Players will have to wait for a future update for these issues to be resolved, but they are not tied to Error Code 9014.

What Error Code 9014 Is In Pokémon Home (& How To Fix It)

Pokemon Home Gets Legends Arceus BDSP Compatibility

For whatever reason, Error Code 9014 seems to appear frequently for players in Pokémon Home after large updates. This error code has been specific to Pokémon Home for as long as the application has been available, and the updates it receives always tend to bring its occurrence rate up. Since the latest update was massive and made Pokémon Home compatible with Legends: Arceus and BDSP, it's no wonder why it's been troubling players yet again.

Fortunately, Error Code 9014 is something that has to do with the game's backend maintenance and shouldn't cause any issues to Pokémon Home or the games connecting to it. Unfortunately, there isn't a workaround for the issue, it's just a problem that players need to wait out in order for it to be resolved. Those who receive Error Code 9014 should try accessing Pokémon Home at a later time to see if it goes away on its own, otherwise, there is nothing else to do.
