Fans of Pokémon GO have many different Eevee evolutions to pick from when deciding what to do with their personal collection of adorable Eevee. Whether a player wants one of each Eeveelution or a storage box filled to the brim with Umbreon or Espeon, the majority of Eevee's evolutions are now available. However, Pokémon GO is still missing Sylveon from the lineup, leaving fans of Fairy types disappointed.

Eevee's most recent addition to the large evolutionary tree, Sylveon has yet to be added to the Pokémon GO Pokédex. The Fairy type was introduced in Pokémon X and Y's Kalos region. Sylveon isn't just pretty, boasting powerful moves like Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam. It also has the evolution requirement of high friendship points, making it a harder Eeveelution to obtain than others. Sylveon's cute design and powerful typing make it a desirable companion for trainers' teams, and many feel its absence in Pokémon GO.

Currently, it isn't clear when players can expect to see Sylveon added to Pokémon GO, and it's likely they have a while more to wait before it's available. Sylveon is a Generation-6 Pokémon, and there aren't many Gen-6 Pokémon available in the game at the moment. While it's likely more Pokémon will be announced in coming months, there are plenty of other popular species still waiting for their chance to debut in Pokémon GO, and it isn't clear where Sylveon sits on Niantic's priority list.

It will be interesting to see how Sylveon's evolutionary requirements will be handled in Pokémon GO. In order to evolve Pokémon with similar mainline game requirements, like Feebas, which evolves into Milotic, players must fulfill certain additional prerequisites. For Sylveon, players may have to equip an Eevee as their buddy and walk with it for a set number of kilometers. While some of these special evolution styles also require a large amount of Candy, it is unlikely Sylveon will have this problem; every other Eeveelution has a 25 Eevee Candy requirement, regardless of which species the player is trying to achieve.

While it may be a while before Sylveon's appearance in Pokémon GO, there are still plenty of other Eevee options available. Players can capture Eevee in all shapes and sizes - and even Shiny Eevee - when out exploring. Players should also keep an eye out for Eevee with hats, flower crowns or other fancy seasonal additions. This will give them an extra special Eevee to evolve into Sylveon when the Fairy type is finally added to Pokémon GO.
