The Bidoof Breakout event is coming to Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how they can prepare for this upcoming event properly. Bidoof has been one of the biggest joke Pokemon out there for generations. Although, in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl when the Pokemon was first announced, it was used as many trainer's HM Pokemon. Bidoof has the ability to learn moves like Cut, Surf, Rock Smash, and Strength to get around the Sinnoh region much easier without having to dedicate an entire party slot to it. As the years have gone by, Bidoof has grown to become one of the most respected Pokemon out there. Now, Pokemon Go will be having an entire Bidoof Breakout event to celebrate this Sinnoh Pokemon. This guide will show players how to prepare for it.

The Bidoof Breakout event will take place from June 25th to July 1st. During this time period, Bidoof will begin to appear more frequently in the wild. Not only that, but lucky trainers might have the chance to encounter a Shiny Bidoof. Although, the game does provide tons of other great features taking place during this event that has nothing to do with Bidoof. Here's how players can prepare for this event.

How To Prepare For The Bidoof Breakout in Pokemon Go

Here's how players can prepare for this Bidoof Breakout.

  • Shiny Hunting: To increase your chances of finding a Shiny Bidoof, use Lure Modules, Incenses, and participate in raid battles. This is the prime time to collect this Shiny Pokemon. It will be much more difficult to encounter once the event is over.
  • x8 XP: On Tuesday, June 29th, there will be an x4 Catch XP active. Make sure to use a Lucky Egg during this event to bring this up to x8. This is a great way to level up for lower-level players.
  • Hyper Beam: Any Bidoof evolved into a Bibarel at this time will have Hyper Beam.
  • Exclusive Moves: Bidoof will be able to learn special moves depending on when the player uses an Elite Charged TM. June 25th will provide Shadow Ball, June 27th will provide Thunderbolt, and June 29th will provide Ice Beam.

The Catch XP bonus is arguably one of the biggest additions to come with this event. It becomes increasingly more challenging to level up in Pokemon Go the higher the player gets. These events are extremely limited so don't miss out on the chance to score tons of XP.
