Mudkip is next to receive a Community Day Classic in Pokémon Go. While April will already have a Community Day with Stufful making its debut, Mudkip will return for the Classic version. The thing that makes it Classic is that Mudkip was a Pokémon that already received a Community Day in the past. Back in July of 2019, trainers were able to get their Shiny Mudkip and Swampert with Hydro Cannon. So this is now another opportunity to add these Pokémon to the collection. Hydro Cannon is especially important since it's one of the best Water-type moves in the game. Therefore, it can be useful for taking down challenging raid battles are against other trainers.
Mudkip Classic Community Day will take place on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time in Pokémon Go. Mudkip will have its spawn rate drastically increased during these three hours, and its Shiny form will also appear in the wild. Normally, the odds of finding a Shiny Pokémon are 1/500. Although during Community Day, these odds are increased to 1/25, making it almost guaranteed that trainers would find at least one during the day. Its Shiny form appears in a bright purple and pink color.
For Pokémon Go's Mudkip Classic Community Day, make sure to evolve Marshtomp during or within two hours after the event is over. This is how it will learn the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon. It's a move capable of doing 80 damage during trainer battles and 90 damage during raids. There will also be a premium Special Research Story for trainers to purchase in the shop. It costs $1 and will unlock new Special Research Tasks to clear throughout the day. These will remain in the game even after Mudkip Classic Community Day.

- Catch x3 XP: Make sure to use a Lucky Egg to bring this up to x6. It's an excellent chance to get a ton of XP.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incenses activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take snapshots for a chance to have a Mudkip photobomb the picture. It will then appear on the world map to be captured.
Make sure to grab the 30 Ultra Balls from the shop during the event. This bundle is free, and Ultra Balls are the best capturing tools in Pokémon Go. Alternatively, there is a Community Day Box for 850 Poké Coins. This will give trainers 15 Ultra Balls, 15 Pinap Berries, 1 Elite Fast TM, and 1 Pokémon Go Remote Raid Pass. While this bundle has valuable items like the Remote Raid Pass, players are better off saving their precious Poké Coins for a future bundle.
