Monferno is actively appearing in Raid Battles in Pokémon Go. Trainers looking to add one to their collection should jump on this event as soon as possible. Officially making their debut in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl as one of the starter Pokémon, Chimchar, Monferno, and Infernape have been fan-favorites. Its inclusion in Raid Battles is part of the current Power Plant event. Spark finds the final piece to open the Mysterious Door and tasks the player with assistance.

The Power Plant event is running from Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time. During this period, trainers will be given the chance to find and capture Helioptile. It officially made its Pokémon Go debut during this event, and providing it with 50 Helioptile candy and a Sun Stone will evolve it into Heliolisk. Not only that, but more Electric-type Pokémon are appearing in the wild, including Electabuzz and Magnemite, all of which have the chance to appear in their Shiny form.

Monforno is appearing in three-star Pokémon Go raid battles for only a small segment of the whole event. It will spawn from Monday, January 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time. To participate, trainers will need a raid pass. Fortunately, Niantic is giving away a free remote raid pass every week in the PokéShop. It should only take about two to three trainers to complete this battle. Since Monforno is a Fire and Fighting-type Pokémon, it has weaknesses to Psychic, Ground, Flying, and Water-type attacks.

Trainers should also use Mega Evolutions to clear out battles. Using Mega Energy in Pokémon Go gives Pokémon a massive boost in their stats for a limited time. Arguably, Mega Evolutions are the strongest creatures in the game. Alternatively, Shadow Pokémon that don't have their heart purified typically have a fairly high attack stat. It's ultimately up to the choice of the player if they wish to cleanse their hearts of darkness. Fortunately, Monferno shouldn't be too difficult to defeat in battle, and it's a great way to earn more candy to evolve Monferno into Infernape.
