On Wednesday, July 20, 2022, players can also participate in the raid hour, when Moltres will appear more frequently from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. After defeating the raid boss, there's a small chance that a Shiny Moltres will appear for players to catch.
Since Moltres is a five-star raid boss, players will need to invite others to join the battle in order to win. It's recommended that there are at least four players fighting in a five-star raid, but it's technically possible to win with less if everyone is using the best available Pokémon and movesets. Any players added as a friend in Pokémon GO can be invited to a raid after using a pass and joining the battle.
Moltres is a Fire- and Flying-type that has a raid boss CP of 45,609, and it can be caught at level 20 between 1,896 and 1,980 CP.
