To celebrate the release of Sylveon, Pokemon Go will place all the other Eevee evolutions in 3-star raid battles. This guide will show players how they can obtain Shiny Espeon.

How To Find (& Catch) Shiny Espeon in Pokemon Go

An Espeon Pokemon on a background of hearts.

Espeon will begin to appear in raid battle starting on Tuesday, May 25th. Players can participate in these raid battles with friends to increase their chances. For lower-level players, it will be much easier to play with other friends. Once the battle is over, the game will display if it's a Shiny Espeon during the capturing phase. It's important to mention that it is completely up to chance for a Shiny to appear. To increase your chances, participate in as many Espeon raids as possible. Here are some of the best Pokemon to bring along as a counter.

  • Darkrai: Snarl and Shadow Ball
  • Origin Giratina: Shadow Claw and Shadow Ball
  • Chandelure: Hex and Shadow Ball
  • Weavile: Feint Attack and Foul Play
  • Mewtwo: Psycho Cut and Shadow Ball
  • Hydreigon: Bite and Dark Pulse

This works with every other Eevee evolution that will begin to appear in raid battles. Try and collect all of them before the event is over. Players will have until the end of May to find them all since that is when the raids will rotate once more.
