The Festival of Colors will soon take place in Pokémon Go. As a celebration of Holi, a popular ancient Hindu festival of love, Pokémon Go has its version of the event with new exclusives. During this time, trainers will be able to encounter Oricorio for the very first time. This Pokémon originally made its debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon on the Nintendo 3DS. As Pokémon Go is currently in its Season of Alola event, more Alolan Pokémon will be finding their way to the game. It's a limited-time event, so it's important to participate when it's active.

The Festival of Colors 2022 Global Event will take place Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. local time to Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Since this is the second Season of Alola event in Pokémon Go, Oricorio is the main star. The thing that makes Oricorio so unique is that it has different forms depending on where in the world the player is located. With four different versions to collect, passionate trainers will need to travel the globe to collect them all. Not only that, but there's a new Collection Challenge, rewarding players with 20,000 XP, 3,000 Stardust, and an Oricorio encounter upon completion.

Since this event will only last for about five days, the wild encounters, raid battles, and field research encounters will be swapped. The Festival of Colors in Pokémon Go has its own line-up of rare spawns to encounter and capture. The main purpose of this event is to capture at least one Oricorio. Since this is its debut event, it will have its spawn rate drastically increased until the event is over.

Lure Modules will also be active for three hours during this event. Trainers can also take pictures for a chance to find and catch a Smeargle in Pokemon Go. It's one of the rarer Johto Pokémon that can appear photobombing one of the player's photos. It's important to capture as many Oricorio for that region as possible. They can be useful bargaining chips for trading since it's unlikely for players to capture all four on their own. Save a couple and use them down the line.
