This year's Pokémon GO Fest will feature the raids and limited-time events many fans have been accustomed to in the past. However, this year's annual event will introduce seven new Shiny Pokémon - and even more when counting a few of their evolutionary lines. Here are all the Shinies arriving as part of Pokémon GO Fest 2021.

As with mainline entries in the popular series, Pokémon GO has introduced Shiny variants over the years. However, Pokémon GO doesn't offer Shiny forms of every Pokémon in the game. Oftentimes, this means players will need to wait for special, limited-time events if they wish to snag a Shiny in Pokémon GO. And now that developer Niantic has released more info on the upcoming Pokémon GO Fest 2021, players know a bit more about which Shinies to expect.

The theme of this year's Pokémon GO Fest is music, which means players can expect to find plenty of Pokémon with music-based moves or looks. As part of the Special Research, fans can even team up with Pikachu Rock Star or Pikachu Pop Star. There are seven Shinies confirmed for Pokémon GO Fest this year, but there are a few more when considering the evolutionary lines of new Shiny Pokémon like Whismur and Tympole.

Shiny Tympole will be a part of Pokémon GO Fest 2021, which means players can get a Shiny Palpitoad and Shiny Seismatoad as they level it up. Likewise, a Shiny Whismur caught during the event will level up to a Shiny Loudred and then a Shiny Exploud. Counting these Pokémon, here are all the Shinies confirmed for Pokémon GO Fest this year:

  • Audino
  • Whismur
  • Loudred
  • Exploud
  • Tympole
  • Palpitoad
  • Seismatoad
  • Chimecho
  • Sawk
  • Throh
  • Unown

Many of these Pokémon can be encountered in the wild during the event, although when (& how) to encounter a few of them hasn't been confirmed by Niantic quite yet. However, Unown F and Unown G will be spawning around Incense. Additionally, Sawk will appear at a boosted rate during Ocean Beach hours and Throh will appear more frequently during Desert Mountain hours.

For Shiny hunters, these new additions to Pokémon GO are great, even if they're only available for a limited time. In order to fully participate in Pokémon GO Fest 2021, fans will need to purchase a ticket - which is available at a discounted rate this year to celebrate the game's 5th Anniversary. The festivities run from July 17 to July 18.
