Niantic has announced Pokémon GO's "Season of GO" event will launch in June and will feature a handful of popular Legendary Pokémon making their return to the mobile game. Months after launching in March, Pokémon GO's "Seasons of Alola" celebration will finally come to an end with the "Season of GO" replacing it in June. Players who participate in the Summer event will get a chance to encounter Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, Kyogre, and Groudon.
The "Season of GO" event will officially go live in Pokémon GO starting on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, and run until Thursday, September 1 at 10:00 AM local time. The monthly celebration will refresh the game's weekly Spotlight Hours and will include a special event tied to the highly anticipated Pokémon GO and Pokémon Trading Card Game collaboration releasing in July.
The new Pokémon GO season will feature the annual Pokémon GO Fest 2022 event as well on June 4 and is packed with rare Pokémon for players to catch such as Diamond and Pearl Mythical Pokémon Shaymin. Fans of Kanto and Hoenn will not want to miss out on the rest of the "Season of GO" though as Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, Groudon, and Kyogre will also be rotated in as the new 5-star raid battles.
