Niantic is offering trainers a free Incense through a promo code in Pokémon Go. With Pokémon Go currently celebrating its holiday event, the feeling of giving is finally in the air. Throughout the month, Niantic has given players the chance to claim free promo codes for valuable items. These items include Pokéballs, Lucky Eggs, Incenses, Lure Modules, and more. The best part of it all is that there's no required task needed to unlock it. Trainers will just need to claim them before the expiration date. Claiming promo codes work differently depending on the player's preferred platform.

Pokémon Go players who own an Android can claim the code directly within the game. However, Pokémon Go trainers that play using an Apple device will need to visit the Niantic Code Redemption Site. Upon arriving on the site, the player will need to sign into their Pokémon Go account and enter the code to claim it. The items will be available the next time the game boots up.

The Promo Code will reward players with 10 Pokéballs, 10 Pinap Berries, and an Incense. Out of all these items, the Incense is clearly the most valuable. Pokéballs and berries can be found in PokéStops or by opening Gifts. Incenses are typically only distributed through events or Special Research Tasks. The Free Incense Promo Code will expire on December 31, 2021.

Claiming The Incense Promo Code in Pokémon Go

Pokemon Go Orange Incense

The Free Promo Code is 53HHNL3RTLXMPYFP. After claiming the code, trainers should think long and hard about when they should use the Incense. Since the item is normally so rare, it should be used only during critical moments. For example, saving an Incense for a future Community Day would be ideal. In addition, since this item increases the spawn rate of all Pokémon for a limited time, trainers will have a higher chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon.

Alternatively, the Incense is an item that can be used to reward trainers with encounters without them needing to leave their homes. Pokémon Go will give players more encounters if they go on actual walks, but this works as a solid alternative. Not only that, but the Incense is an item that works differently during events. It changes its color from green to orange, meaning it will focus only on attracting event-exclusive Pokémon. Unfortunately, there is no in-game indication of when this happens. Trainers will need to look into their inventory manually to check. Regardless, the Incense has many uses in Pokémon Go.
