Salandit and Salazzle have made their Pokémon Go debut but finding, capturing, and evolving this Alolan Pokémon is a bit of a process. Currently, Pokémon Go is hosting its Season of Alola event. Until the start of June, each new event will debut new Pokémon that originate from Sun and Moon. Fan favorites like Litten, Popplio, and Rowlet can all be found in the wild, with a handful of additional Alolan Pokémon also making their rounds. Those who are interested in capturing Salazzle, the Toxic Lizard Pokémon, will need to defeat as many Team Rocket Grunts as possible.

The current active event in Pokémon Go is the All-Hands Rocket Retreat which will take place from Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 12:00 a.m. to Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. local time and will increase the total presence of Team Rocket Grunts. They will appear in Poké Stops more often and the Team Rocket balloon will spawn more frequently. Not only that, but they'll have Shadow forms of Alolan Pokémon like Rattata, Sandshrew, and Exeggutor.

In order to get a Salandit in Pokémon Go, trainers will need to hatch it from a 12km egg. This is currently the only way to obtain one in the game so far. To obtain a 12km egg, the trainer will need to beat either Team Rocket Cliff, Arlo, or Sierra in battle. These are the challenging Team Rocket Admins that will only appear after the player uses a Rocket Radar. After winning the battle, the player will be rewarded with a Strange Egg as long as they have space in their inventory.

Evolving Salandit into Salazzle in Pokémon Go

Pokemon GO All Hands Rocket Retreat Debuts Salandit

It's important to mention that the Strange Egg the trainer receives from one of the Team Rocket Admins in Pokémon Go is not always guaranteed to be a Salandit. There are other Pokémon that can appear from these Strange Eggs like Skorupi or Deino. If the player is lucky enough to hatch a Salandit, it will also need to be female in order for it to evolve. There's less than a 15% chance of Salandit appearing as a female as it hatches, making it incredibly rare to encounter. Giving it 50 Salandit candy will make the female Salandit evolve into Salazzle.

The best thing to do would be to battle as many Team Rocket Admins as possible while this event is active. Since Team Rocket is appearing more, it's much easier to earn enough pieces to form a Rocket Radar. Just keep battling Admins, winning Strange Eggs, and hatching them. Hopefully, a female Salandit can make an appearance sooner rather than later. Salazzle is an incredibly powerful Poison and Fire-type Pokémon to have on the team.
