Master League is where Pokémon Go pros go to test out their battling skills. While most of Pokémon Go is focused on going out into the world and capturing all the Pokémon, there is a surprisingly in-depth PvP mode available. Participating will pit trainers against each other in a three-on-three Pokémon battle. The trainer with the last Pokémon standing will be declared the winner. Regardless of who wins though, participating features its own set of rewards and if the player does win, they'll unlock even more.

Pokémon Go's PvP is broken up into three different tiers, Great, League, and Master. When selecting Master League, there are no restrictions on which Pokémon can participate. This means all legendary Pokémon and those with large CP counts can participate. Only trainers with the strongest Pokémon will be able to secure victory. Since players are only allowed to have three Pokémon at a time, it's essential to build a team that can work off of one another.

For starters, legendary Pokémon will be considered the best to choose for Pokémon Go's Master League. These Pokémon typically have the highest CP and the strongest attacks out of any other Pokémon in the game. Most of the game's legendary Pokémon can only be captured by defeating them in Raid Battles. They also only appear for a limited time in Raids to be switched out for other creatures in the future.

The metagame constantly shifts with new Pokémon being introduced into Pokémon Go. Trainers are able to collect five tiers of rewards depending on how well they perform in a string of battles. The longer the win streak, the better rewards will be given at the end of the battle. At the very bottom of the PvP page, trainers can also keep track of their wins, battles, streaks, and how much Stardust they have earned. Since Stardust has the ability to make Pokémon stronger in battle, it's recommended to participate in as much PvP as possible. It's an excellent way to grind for Pokemon Go's Stardust without having to leave the house.
