Golbat is one of the tier-three raid bosses that can be battled in Pokémon GO. After winning the raid battle, players will have the chance to capture a Golbat, or possibly a Shiny Golbat. In order to defeat Golbat quickly and easily, players will need to use Pokémon that have super-effective moves against the raid boss as well as invite other trainers to the battle.

Tier-three raid bosses can potentially be defeated solo, but it's much easier when other players join the fight. Friends can be invited in Pokémon GO after starting a raid battle. There's a button to add other trainers on the right side of the screen, but they will need to be added as friends first. The more trainers that join the battle against Golbat, the more chances players will get to capture the Pokémon after winning the raid.

Golbat is a Poison- and Flying-type Pokémon that evolves from Zubat and can be evolved again into Crobat. It will take 100 Zubat candies to evolve Golbat into Crobat, so completing a large number of raids will help players earn enough candies. It's also more likely that a Shiny Golbat will be encountered if players complete multiple raid battles. The Shiny version of Golbat is green with pink wings instead of the traditional blue with purple wings.

As a Poison- and Flying-type Pokémon, Golbat is weak against Electric-, Rock-, Ice-, and Psychic-type moves. Certain moves will be more powerful in battle than others, so players should make sure every Pokémon on their team has the best possible moveset in Pokémon GO. Dealing more damage will increase the number of Premier Balls that can be used to capture Golbat. Having additional trainers, defeating Golbat quickly, and completing the raid at a gym that's controlled by the player's team will also increase the number of Premier Balls available to use.
