A dedicated Pokémon fan has turned all of Eevee’s evolutions into incredibly lifelike dolls, a process which took the artist approximately eight months to complete. A first generation normal-type Pokémon, Eevee can evolve into eight different Pokémon, each with a different type.

The Pokémon franchise is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, an occasion which has been marked with several game announcements and special events for its fans, along with the addition of new merchandise, trading cards, and toys. Aside from official celebrations, many fans have also joined in the festivities in their own unique way by putting their crafting skills to the test, with one Pokémon enthusiast creating Togepi from stained glass.

Reddit user umbratundra recently shared photos of their incredible Pokémon creations, turning all eight of Eevee’s evolutions into art dolls. The Eeveelutions, which are all approximately 12 inches in size, were created after the Redditor taught themselves how to make dolls by watching YouTube tutorials. The dolls are made with resin used as a base for the heads and feet of the Eeveelutions, and they feature fur which is both sewn and glued on top. Perhaps what is most impressive is that due to their ball-jointed frames and wire legs, the dolls are fully poseable, allowing their heads to be tilted, and individual legs to be moved or bent into a sitting position. With the eight Eeveelutions completed, umbratundra has continued to create more Pokémon dolls, and is currently working on both the Kanto and Alolan versions of Vulpix.

While umbratundra’s eight dolls took around eight months to create in total, another talented Pokémon fan is cross-stitching every Gen 1 Pokémon, an undertaking which began in 2016. The cross-stitch of the 150 Gen 1 Pokémon utilizes an existing pattern, and is the artist's third attempt at the project, which is currently estimated to be 50% complete. Although the work still has a while to go before completion, the artist has already used over 300 different colored threads and completed a whopping 70,000 stitches.

Eevee and its evolutions continue to remain a steadfast favorite thanks to the family's numerous variations, and umbratundra’s dolls give Pokémon fans a glimpse of what real-life Eeveelutions might look like. Fans of the series will have even more to inspire their creations in the coming weeks, with Pokémon GO’s upcoming Halloween event introducing specially themed content for the occasion, which will see Pikachu and friends in brand new costumes.
