There are a lot of hidden Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon: Sword & Shield's Crown Tundra DLC, one of which is the ghost-type Spiritomb. Spiritomb is one of the most well-hidden of the Crown Tundra Legendaries and can be pretty difficult to locate without a little help. This guide will help players find and catch Spiritomb in Pokémon: Sword & Shield's Crown Tundra DLC.

Spiritomb was introduced in Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl (Gen 4), and much like its appearance in Sword & Shield, players had to put in a bit of work to find him. Players had to encounter 32 different NPCs while underground after having placed an Odd Keystone on the broken tower on route 209. In Pokémon: Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire, players had to find a keystone, enter a specific location, and enter and exit the menu. Suffice to say, getting Spiritomb in Pokémon: Sword & Shield isn't any easier.

Find Spiritomb In Pokémon: Sword & Shield Crown Tundra

First of all, only players who own the Crown Tundra DLC for Pokémon: Sword & Shield will be able to find Spiritomb in the wild. Other players can still transfer Spiritomb they have caught in another game via Pokémon HOME or trade with someone who has the DLC. Players will then need to travel to the Crown Tundra region of Galar and make their way to Ballimere Lake.

Ballimere Lake is the same location where players will first meet the three Galarian Legendary birds, and it is known for its distinctively large tree. Near a smaller tree in the same area, there will be a grave which players will need to interact with. After this, the player needs to ensure they are connected to the internet so they can see other players wandering around the map. As an homage to Pokémon: Diamond & Pearl, players will need to interact with 32 different players and then return to the grave they interacted with. Now, a Spiritomb should be sitting next to the grave for players to interact with, and once they do the battle will begin.

Spiritomb is a Dark/Ghost-type Pokémon that appears at level 72 making it a relatively easy battle for players. Spiritomb is not a guaranteed catch so players will want to bring a lot of Pokéballs, Pokémon that know moves that can paralyze or put Spiritomb to sleep, and they will also want to bring healing items. With enough persistence and luck, players will be able to catch Spiritomb without too much trouble.
