In the Pokémon: Sword & Shield Crown Tundra DLC, players are able to catch an absurd number of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, one of which is the 7th Gen Mythical Poipole. Like several other Legendaries in the Crown Tundra DLC, players will have to follow a very specific set of steps in order to find this elusive Mythical Pokémon. Poipole does take longer to obtain than most other legendaries, but its evolved form is well worth the effort.

Pokémon: Sword & Shield offers players the opportunity to catch almost every single Legendary and Mythical Pokémon from the franchise. While the majority are found through the new Dynamax Adventures, there are a handful of powerful Pokémon that require oddly specific steps in order to unlock. These Pokémon include Regigigas, Spiritomb, Cosmog, and even Poipole. This guide will teach players everything they need to know about getting their hands on their very own Poipole.

Get Poipole In Pokémon: Sword & Shield

Firstly, only players who own the Crown Tundra DLC and who have completed all three of the main storylines will be able to get Poipole. This means players will need to have completed Legendary Clues 1, 2, and 3 before moving on to Poipole. After these have been completed, players can pick up a sparkling item on the floor of Peony's house and give it to Peony who can be found inside the Max Lair where Dynamax Adventures take place. This item is called "Legendary Clue?" and once again contains partially obscured clues that players are supposed to decipher.

Handing the clue to Peony will start the Ultra Beast questline which requires the player to first catch the Legendary Necrozma which will unlock Ultra Beasts in Dynamax Adventures. After Necrozma has been caught, report to Peony in the Max Lair. Players will then need to catch five Ultra Beasts from Dynamax Adventures. After five have been caught, a Poipole will appear in the Max Lair which players can interact with. The scientist next to the Poipole will ask if the player wished to take the Poiple with them. If the player says yes, they can take the Poipole without having to catch it. To evolve Poipole into Naganadel, players will need to teach Poipole Dragon Pulse and level it up once.
