As a sequel to one of the most adored games from the N64, New Pokémon Snap is coming soon to the Nintendo Switch. Just like in the original, players go around and explore islands filled with Pokémon, taking their photos to add to their collections. Now, thanks to a new trailer, even more Pokémon have been confirmed for the game.

In the original Pokémon Snap from 1999, only 63 of the then-current 151 Pokémon were available. The roster of Pokémon has grown exponentially since then, though, which means the total count of Pokémon in New Pokémon Snap could reach incredibly high numbers. This has led many players to wonder exactly how many Pokémon will be in New Pokémon Snap, and if things like Shiny Pokémon will be included, since it seems unlikely that every single Pokémon will make it into the game.

While the list of Pokémon included in the game will surely continue to grow, here are all of the confirmed Pokémon featured in New Pokémon Snap so far.

Again, this list will continue to grow as New Pokémon Snap nears its release date and more footage is shared. The Nintendo Switch is getting some great exclusives this year, and New Pokémon Snap might be one of the most anticipated games releasing on the console in 2021. Fans of the N64 original and newcomers alike should love getting to explore a new region while touring islands and taking photos of their favorite Pokémon.

It's currently unknown just how many Pokémon will actually appear in New Pokémon Snap, but it's unlikely all of them will make the cut (and more could always be added in future DLC). Based on the footage shown so far, though, there's definitely going to be more Pokémon than in the original on N64, which should be exciting news for all the Pokémon fans out there.
