The Master Ball has been a staple of the Pokémon series since Generation 1. Players will only be able to obtain the Master Ball near the final section of the main story. However, many rare Pokémon are only accessible once the game has been completed, so this shouldn't be too big of a problem.
Once players reach the seventh Gym Leader, they will encounter Team Galactic on Lake Acuity. From here, players will have to trail the team back to their headquarters in Veilstone City. To enter the headquarters, the player will need a key that can be acquired by talking to the Team Galactic Grunt standing outside, who will drop the storage key as he runs away. From here, the player can head over to the Team Galactic Warehouse.
At the warehouse, the player can open the door where they found the Fly HM last time and then enter the passageway into the HQ using their new key. From here, players need to walk deeper into the building until they encounter Team Galactic's leader Cyrus.
After defeating Cyrus, the player will be gifted with a Master Ball as a reward. This will be the only chance players will have to obtain a Master Ball in the game, and once it's used, players won't be able to undo this or get another one (unless they reload a manual save from before they used it), so make sure to use it wisely!
