Pokémon fan and artist has imagined what new evolutions for Eevee could look like, focusing on Dragon-type creations. Eevee currently has eight evolutionary forms ranging from Fire-type Flareon to Fairy-type Sylveon. Thanks to the multitude of evolutionary options for Eevee, it's one of the most popular characters in the game, making it a firm favorite within the Pokémon art community.

Eevee was first introduced in Generation One with three evolutions: Jolteon (Electric-type), Vaporeon (Water-type), and Flareon (Fire-type). Over the years, new evolutions have been introduced for Eevee, now known as "Eeveelutions". These include Espeon (Psychic-type), Leafeon (Grass-type), and Glaceon (Ice-type). While there have been no new additions to the list since Generation Six's Sylveon, Nintendo fans are still hopeful for more Eeveelutions in the future. A Dragon-type is high on the list and could be possible as the franchise expands. Eeveelutions are particularly sought-after within the Niantic mobile game Pokémon GO, though there's an easy way to guarantee which Eeveelution players get in Pokémon GO.

Artists have been sharing their versions of Dragon-type Eeveelutions for a long time, but Reddit user JhayAlejo's versions are particularly impressive. The Pokémon artist shared a series of designs for their own take on missing Eeveelutions and even named them. The artwork wouldn't look out of place in a Nintendo game and features Eeveelutions such as Dragon-Ice-type Auroreon, Bug-Dragon-type Royaleon, and a very magical Dragon-Ghost-type, Leviatheon. The Reddit community even added suggestions for how the new Eeveelutions could work, with one user responding to the thread: "Could be that these are final evolutions, and the pure-dragon type is the middle stage evolution, so in order to get the one you want you either need the right stone, a certain move, and maybe certain status conditions."

Fan-Made Pokemon Eevee Dragon Evolutions

While it's not clear if Nintendo is planning to add more Eeveelutions to the franchise, their popularity can't be denied. Eevee has been a staple of the series since its conception, winning fans over with its adorable design from the very beginning. Eevee even got its own titled game in 2018 with the release of Let's Go Eevee, a reimagining of Pokémon Yellow that was released alongside Let's Go Pikachu. Gamers could decide which of the two versions they'd prefer, but Eevee beat Psyduck to star in the game. Eeveelution merchandise is also some of the best-selling, proving the popularity of the eight Eevee variants.

The Pokémon Company is celebrating the franchise's 25th anniversary this year, honoring the series' long legacy with remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, entitled Pokémon Shining Diamond and Brilliant Pearl. The Company is also running a series of Pokémon GO events, including GO Fest, which will begin July 17. The event will see several limited-time events and raids, plus new Shiny variants to capture. While tickets are required for the full event, trainers can enjoy some of the festivities for free. Pokémon GO Fest preparations are underway, with tickets are being sold at a reduced price this year,
