The latest J. Balvin music video celebrates 25 years of Pokémon with appearances from Generation One favorites including Pikachu and Charizard. Balvin's new track, "Ten Cuidado," is featured on the newly-released Pokémon 25: The Album, and joins other Pokémon-themed music from Katy Perry, Jax Jones, Post Malone, and other artists.

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have been celebrating Pokémon's 25th-anniversary throughout the whole of 2021, not just by introducing anniversary merchandise and new retro-inspired Pokémon cards, but also with new game reveals, events, updates, and announcements. Fans of the series are gearing up for the upcoming release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, remakes of the Nintendo DS' Diamond and Pearl, while Pokémon GO has been impressing fans with a slew of in-game events. The free-to-play MOBA Pokémon Unite, available on Nintendo Switch and mobile, has also been a hit since its release this summer. There's still lots to look forward to with Pokémon Legends: Arceus coming early 2022.

The official Pokémon 25 and J. Balvin music video is now here, showcasing the award-winning singer as a Pokémon trainer in New York City. "Ten Cuidado" celebrates all things Pokémon, with lyrics including "I’m on fire like Charmander," and "strong as a rock like Onix." In a press release, Balvin shared his love of the series, explaining:

“I always wanted to be Ash Ketchum and through this collaboration with Pokémon I’ve been able to live out a childhood dream. That love for Pokémon inspired ‘Ten Cuidado,’ my contribution to P25 Music, as well as the video in which I get to be a Pokémon Trainer in New York City. I can’t wait to share my fandom for Pokémon with my fans around the world with this song and still can’t believe I get to be part of this project.”

The new Pokémon music video is already proving to be a hit with fans, with over a quarter of a million views in less than a day of its release. The video for the catchy tune shows Balvin dressed as a Pokémon trainer with appearances from Pikachu, Charmander, Hitmontop, Totodile, and Loudred, some of the Colombian singer's personal favorite pocket monsters. The song is one of 14 on the official Pokémon 25: The Album, available now, with a special colored vinyl edition coming in February 2022.

The release of Pokémon 25: The Album paves the way for even more musical Pokémon-themed collaborations in the future. The album features many beloved and award-winning performers, and its success could mean even more Pokémon music videos could be on the cards for those who can't get enough of the collaborations. While the franchise's 25th-anniversary celebrations will soon end, Pokémon Day 2022 will take place in February, which might be the perfect time for even more Pokémon-related announcements. Recent rumors have suggested that an unannounced new Pokémon game could be in the works, which perhaps might get its reveal around that time.
