The new year is well underway, so it's time for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users to take a look back at last year's stats via the brand's 2020 Wrap-Up, which provides an overview regarding games played and Trophies earned. Sony treated users to a similar report with the 2019 PlayStation Wrap-Up last year. It, too, allowed players to sign into their accounts and access details about experiences played, number of hours spent in games, and so on.

These types of stat reports are becoming a neat tradition that more companies across the industry are beginning to embrace. Ubisoft allowed users to partake in accessing a personalized wrap-up late last year, which featured five years of data related to Ubisoft-published games. Such details were made available thanks to the company's Ubisoft Connect service, which players can opt into whenever booting up the likes of Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, and other titles from the French publisher.

Sony's the latest to offer a personalized stat report for players by launching PlayStation's 2020 Wrap-Up. The bulk of said stats concern time spent with PS4 adventures, but even those lucky enough to secure PS5 consoles are able to reflect on their late 2020 gameplay achievements. From now until March 2, PS4 and PS5 users can sign in and access their 2020 Wrap-Up. Players who've previously opted to receive marketing emails should have their reports sent to them via email. The stats make note of number of games played, top three games played - each tallied by hours spent in-game - top genre, total gameplay hours in 2020, and days played.

PlayStation 2020 Wrap-Up General TLoU Part II Stat

Even granular details like top day of the week are accounted for, alongside general stats for most-played PlayStation titles. For example, with regards to the latter, the stat report boasts information about most-played PS Now games, the community's total hours spent in TLoU Part II, and so on. PS5 owners will additionally receive stats related to number of hours played on the consoles and amount of PS5 Trophies earned in 2020. And Trophies, which underwent an overhaul last fall, get their own breakdown in the Wrap-Up. Players can take a look at total Trophies unlocked, as well as a see that number divided into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Trophies popped. PS4 users are also being rewarded with a free Dynamic Theme, fashioned with a gray background and PlayStation's usually color-coded shapes.

As expected, many PlayStation fans are having difficulty accessing their 2020 Wrap-Up. Error pages that pop up as soon as a user tries to sign in seems the most common issue, thus far. But it appears that simply logging off and trying again later is the best bet for now. As the day goes on, these loading woes are bound to subside.

It's neat that Sony continues providing these stat reports. In addition to supplying players with interesting details, it gets the community involved in something everyone can rally around - sharing game stats and the like. What shape might the community's general stats take next year? 300 million hours in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition? 150 million deaths in Resident Evil Village? We'll have to wait and see.
