According to leaked details, Sony will show off the God of War sequel during tomorrow's PlayStation Showcase; The Last of Us Part II's long-awaited Factions mode could appear, as well. Sony announced the upcoming PlayStation Showcase approximately one week ago, promising a closer look at a number of PS5 games. Notably, the next-gen PlayStation VR device will not receive mention during the broadcast.

That the God of War 2018 follow-up and Factions may take center stage is expected. The former was teased last year during another digital event that confirmed a Ragnarök-oriented storyline, leading many to believe Santa Monica Studio would name the project God of War: Ragnarök. With regards to Factions, Naughty Dog originally planned on launching the multiplayer suite alongside TLoU Part II. A desire to focus more resources on the main story culminated in Factions being sidelined for a time, though the studio has since confirmed that it's working on a standalone online project of some kind.

YouTuber Moore's Law is Dead (Tom), known to have reliable sources, recently posted a video (via Wccftech) detailing leaks related to PlayStation's upcoming PS5-centric stream. For one, the YouTuber seems confident that God of War's next chapter will receive a gameplay reveal. Unable to say for certain whether Sony will announce a launch date, Tom claimed the sequel really did boast an internal Q3 2021 release date previously, despite long-held skepticism amongst critics and fans. The Last of Us Part II's Factions garnered mention in the video, too, though Tom noted he isn't 100 percent certain that it will actually appear. Call of Duty: Vanguard should enter the spotlight for a time as well, according to the leak. And Sony has a fair few "surprises" in store, though the finer details are allegedly in flux.

As always, the above information counts as little more than rumor and speculation for the time being, even if God of War and Factions reveals seem like a given. Fortunately, the wait to find out what Sony has up its sleeve is nearly at an end.

Since it releases at the end of the month, Deathloop could very well feature during tomorrow's showcase. The same seems possible of Kena: Bridge of Spirits, given its September 21 due date. Other PlayStation-aligned experiences such as Stray and Sifu could also pop up.
