The revamped version of PlayStation Plus will soon roll out in select Asian markets and some of the game catalogs have made their way online, with different games available in each location. PlayStation Plus is moving to a tiered system, with the more expensive tiers offering access to a wider library of titles, and potentially causing access issues.

The cheapest tier will be PlayStation Plus Essential, which is the same as the current version of PlayStation Plus, granting free games every month, access to PlayStation's online services, and the PlayStation Plus Collection. The second tier is PlayStation Plus Extra, which merges PlayStation Now into the service, and is due to receive an influx of PS4 and PS5 games, including recent releases. The most expensive tier is PlayStation Plus Premium, which adds retro PS1, PS2, and PSP games to available options. While not officially released, the identity of some of the PS1 and PSP games coming to PlayStation Plus has already leaked, due to Sony adding them to the PlayStation Store's backend ahead of the launch of the service.

The revamped PlayStation Plus service is coming to Europe, Japan, and North America in June, but will debut in select Asian territories on May 24. As first spotted by users on the ResetEra forum, the official PlayStation South Korea and PlayStation Hong Kong pages now feature the launch catalog of games for the new service, minus the streaming PS3 games that will be part of PlayStation Plus Extra. The Hong Kong store has over eighty games listed that aren't mentioned on the South Korean site, confirming that some games will be restricted by region.

The South Korean store is missing games like Age of Wonders: PlanetfallBloodstained: Ritual of the NightChocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY!Control (Ultimate Edition), Mortal Kombat 11, and Watch Dogs among many others. The PlayStation first-party studio games are present and just the indie and third-party games seem to vary by region. It is likely there will be a similar divide for the streaming PS3 games, though this has yet to be confirmed at this time.

With the new PlayStation Plus service going live in Asia before the rest of the world, fans will get an indication of how the changes will work in terms of quality and new features. It is likely that the European and North American iterations of the service will also have minor differences in game selection. Sony has included a stacked line-up of first and third-party titles at launch, including Demon's SoulsMarvel's Guardians of the GalaxyAssassin's Creed Valhalla, and Returnal. The PS1 offerings at launch appear to be slim, as are the games for the other retro systems, but hopefully, a wider selection will be released in gradual updates alongside the PlayStation Plus Essential titles.
