The upcoming relaunch of PlayStation Plus will reportedly include the entire PlayStation Plus Collection with all subscription tiers. After months of rumors, Sony recently announced its new subscription service to rival Microsoft's own Xbox Game Pass. New PlayStation Plus tiers will launch in June, and all users will immediately receive access to a digital catalog of PlayStation 4 hits.

The recently-announced PlayStation Plus overhaul will let gamers choose between three separate subscription tiers. The cheapest tier, PlayStation Plus Essential, will include current PlayStation Plus offerings like online multiplayer, exclusive discounts and two monthly game downloads. The middle tier, PlayStation Plus Extra, will add a digital catalog of up to 400 PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games for users to download and enjoy. Finally, PlayStation Plus Premium will include 340 additional games from older PlayStation eras, ranging from the original PlayStation to the PlayStation 3, alongside timed game trials. PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games will include titles like God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man, though a full list has not yet been revealed.

In addition to the new games added with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, IGN Senior Editor Jonathon Dornbush has revealed (via Twitter) that the current PlayStation Plus Collection will also be included with a subscription. This collection of PlayStation 4 hits, currently available to PS Plus subscribers, includes beloved titles like God of WarBloodborneThe Last of Us Remastered and Ratchet & Clank. The inclusion of these games with each new PlayStation Plus tier helps to further increase the value of Sony's upcoming service ahead of its launch in June.

While the new PlayStation Plus is meant to rival Xbox Game Pass, one notable feature will be absent from the revamped service. PS Plus will lack day-one launch games, meaning that subscribers must still purchase any brand-new titles separately from the subscription's digital library. Xbox Game Pass famously adds many popular games to its available library at launch, including massively anticipated releases like Halo Infinite and the upcoming Starfield. This gives gamers an even greater incentive to subscribe, but PlayStation gamers will sadly miss out on this popular feature with PlayStation Plus.

PlayStation Plus will soon receive a major overhaul, but players can rest assured that their PS Plus Collection titles will still be available after the relaunch. This collection of popular games will make the subscription service an even better deal, since it will include many of Sony's most beloved console exclusives. While the new service will lack certain Xbox Game Pass features, a digital library of already popular exclusive titles may be enough to surpass Microsoft.
