Performance Designed Products (PDP) has announced that it will release three new Kingdom Hearts collectibles as part of their Pixel Pals line in anticipation of the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. The company currently sells a Pixel Pal depicting Sora, and the three new offerings will round out the protagonist's fellow companions.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is set to release early next year, and it'd be difficult to overstate the excitement that fans feel about the forthcoming game. The third home-console entry in the series will pick back up with Sora, Donald, and Goofy on yet another adventure through the worlds of various Disney and Pixar films. Those who want a bit more than just a game, however, will now have a new way to display their Kingdom Hearts fandom.

Pixel Pals' Sora will be joined by Donald, Goofy, and even Mickey, who's not a party regular but has featured heavily throughout the series. The Pixel Pals, which are officially licensed by Disney, will retail for an MSRP of $14.99.

The pixel-themed collectibles light up and embrace a retro gaming aesthetic, differentiating them from your standard vinyl Funk Pops.

News and announcements about Kingdom Hearts 3 have gradually come out in the months leading up to the game's release. Last week, some of the game's star-studded voice cast was revealed, including Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel from Frozen; Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy from Tangled; and others. There's also plenty of gameplay footage for fans to feast their eyes on, including glimpses of the game's Frozen world and a tagalong with the heroes of Monsters, Inc.

Despite the wealth of information and bits of gameplay available, Kingdom Hearts 3 can still feel ages away. After all, it's been nearly 13 years since the release of Kingdom Hearts 2, the last entry before the series split its player-base among a range of different consoles and spin-offs. But what's another few months? In any case, the new Pixel Pals may help pass the time (particularly Goofy, who is objectively the best Kingdom Hearts companion), and fans can use all the help that they can get.
