Pixar's new movie Soul has a secret voice cameo by John Ratzenberger. The last two decades have seen Pixar become one of the biggest animation studios in the world and the home to some of the best animated films. With more than twenty films released, there are very high expectations attached to any new Pixar movie. This comes as a result of the studio routinely delivering incredible animation, imaginative stories, and exploring deeper themes that resonate with all audiences. All of this can be found in their latest offering, Soul.

In addition to the usual ideas and feelings that come with a Pixar movie, the studio has developed several different habits over the years. Whether it is including Easter eggs to upcoming projects or even doing the same for past movies, Pixar enthusiasts are searching through Soul to see what it includes. Another aspect that viewers have come to expect is to hear a recognizable voice. John Ratzenberger's voice can be heard in every single Pixar movie released, but his name is nowhere to be found in Soul's credits.

While doing press for the film's release on Disney+, Soul's director and Pixar's CCO Pete Docter confirmed that Ratzenberger does have a cameo in the film. CinemaBlend asked Docter if this was the case and Docter was kind enough to confirm that Ratzenberger does have an unspecified role in Soul. However, Docter isn't interested in revealing who Ratzenberger plays as he said, "I don’t want to give (it away), I don’t want to be too specific."

With Docter confirming that Ratzenberger is in Soul, his streak of appearing in every single Pixar movie remains intact. His roles have ranged from main supporting characters like Hamm in the Toy Story franchise to a quick appearance like in Onward. The variance in the size of his roles and Soul's multiple quick speaking parts leaves fans to go hunting to discover who Ratzenberger voices if Docter isn't willing to give up the information.

Now that Soul is widely available on Disney+ and isn't behind an additional paywall like Mulan was, there is nothing to stop those interested in the movie from checking it out and hearing Ratzenberger's voice. Since the movie is so new, fans are sure to discover more than just Ratzenberger's cameo as they continue checking it out. If Soul keeps the tradition of including an Easter egg for the next Pixar film, then an Easter egg for Raya and the Last Dragon still needs to be found too.
